Orlando, FL- Missouri and Nebraska renewed an old Big 8 rivalry in a bowl game and the former conference rivals made sure the renewal of hate didn't disappoint. Nebraska scored 28 points in the first half, but couldn't muster any in the second and Missouri pulled out a comeback 34-28 win.

Missouri's all everything QB James Franklin struggled much of the game, but was able to turn it on late and the Maxwell Trophy winner ended up with another 300 and 100 day. Kip "Dynamite" Edwards set a new school record with his 10th interception of the season in the 1st.

After Nebraska put up the 1st score on a 27 yard strike from Taylor Martinez to Quincy Enunwa Mizzou marched down the field and scored on a 34 yard run by Washington on a WR option. Mizzou also scored next when Josey put in a TD from 1 yard out to put Missouri in the lead to end the 1st quarter.

Nebraska took over in the second and pulled away to a 28-17 lead thanks to a fumble return for a TD by Cameron Meredith, a 61 yard run by Rex Burkhead, and a 50 yard Hail Mary as time expired in the half. Mizzou only added a FG with :13 left.

Franklin got off to a good start in the 3rd. Franklin hit Washington for a score from 59 yards out to narrow the lead to 24-28 Nebraska. No one managed much else in the 3rd and Missouri began the 4th down, but not out.

The 4th quarter was hard fought, and tight with the only scoring coming from Missouri late in the ball game. Franklin hit
Jimmie Hunt on an 8 yard score with 3:54 to go to take the lead. It was a very difficult play or Franklin. He was flushed from the pocket and rolled to the left. Franklin threw across his body and hit Hunt on the sideline in the end zone who tapped a foot down before falling out of bounds. The final score was a late FG to cap the scoring.

JAMES FRANKLIN: 23-46 for 326 yards 2 TDs and 3 picks added 135 yards on the ground
