Columbia, MO- Mizzou took it to Georgia on Saturday winning 38-28 in a game that wasn't that close. James Franklin took the 1st step toward proving his breakout season last year wasn't a fluke. Franklin went 10-16 for 152 3 TDs and no picks an carried 16 times for 159 yards and 2 TDs. The Tigers rang up 425 yards of offense with 273 coming on the ground.

Missouri got the scoring rolling in the 1st behind some great running from Franklin and "The Outlaw" Josey. Before Franklin snuck it in from 1 yard out for his 1st score of the game. The defense was able to hold UGA to a FG their first trip down. The Tigers ended the next drive with Franklins 1st TD pass, a 10 yard strike to TJ Moe. And like that they were up 14-3.
The Bulldogs were forced into a 3 and out by Missouri and Franklin was able to find Hunt all alone down the middle for a 31 yard score and a 21-3 lead early in the 2nd. Luckily UGA decided to make a game obit after all and scored on a 41 yard pass by Aaron Murray to Mitchell. Mizzou kicked a FG with :41 left to take a 14 point lead into halftime.

The only scoring in the 3rd was a 25 yard FG by Morgan for the Bulldogs. On the 1st drive of the 4th Franklin found his TE Waters for a 20 yard TD and his third passing TD on the day. UGA added a TD on their next drive followed by a 2 pt conversion to get within striking distance. But Franklin led another magnificent drive and capped it off with his 2nd rushin TD of the day this time from 4 yards out. Murray added a garbage time TD with :59 seconds to go to cap the scoring.

Mizzou's defense flew to the ball all game and laid some vicious hits. They caused and recovered 2 fumbles, the second came on the 1st play UGA ran after recovering an onside kick.

James Franklin: 10-16 for 152 yards 3 TDs and no picks added 159 yards and 2 TDs on the ground

Kenronte Walker: 12 tackles, 8 solo, 1 for loss, 1 forced fumble

    Illinois housed in Tallahassee!!!
#5 FSU cruised to a 36-7 home win today showing why they are primed to stake a claim at the National Title. The fighting Illini were simply outmatched on both sides of the ball. The Seminole defenses forced 5 TO's, 4 via picks by Illini QB Nathan Scheelhaase. The speed of Fsu was to much to handle. The Illini hung in for a half only down 20-7 but Ej Manuel took over from there earning POG honors. Manuel finished 13-22 for 269 and 2 TD's. He also carried for 50 yards and a TD.
The illini have a while to regroup from this wooping as they go into the bye week. Hopefully they can bounceback and comeout with a win in Rocky Top Country versus Tennessee.
