Columbia, MO- Missouri was pushed to the brink of defeat on Saturday before pulling out a tough win against Wisconsin. It took a record day from James Franklin and the best game Dorial Green-Beckham's young career but the Tigers were able to upset the #5 ranked Badgers at home.

James Franklin is at the top of many Heisman lists and he showed why against the tough defense of the Badgers. Franklin broke the school record or passing yards and TDs in a game where the Tigers needed every single one. Franklin finished 27-38 for 582 yards, 7 TDs and 1 interception. His main target on the day was sophomore WR Dorial Green-Beckham who caught 6 passes for 191 yards and 4 TDs. He wasn't the only WR to do well though as 5 players caught more than 3 passes and Marcus Lucas and true freshman Mike Davis broke the 100 yard mark and caught a TD.

The other story of the day was the performance of the true freshman that Missouri played. Davis had 100 yards receiving, newly converted RB Steven Mayo had 2 cathedral and returned kicks and punts, Marcus Moss had 3 tackles and an interception, and Josh Bullock caught the game tying TD pass on 4th and 1 from inside the Badgers 10.

The Badgers took a big lead early and were able to keep the Tigers at arms length most of the game, until a 3 and out led to a game tying TD with 1:08 to go. Wisconsin, Jo had lost starting RB James White to a concussion earlier in the game had Abbrederis returning kicks and he fumbled when he was tackled and the Tigers recovered. For some reason the Wisconsin staff neglected to use timeouts and allowed Missouri to kick a winning FG as time expired.

Missouri had 601 yards of offense but never got the running game going, and the O Line allowed 5 sacks. But the Tigers staff is sure they will be able to get those issues fixed.
