[SEATTLE, WA] - Rookie Mark Morgan made his debut at quarterback for the Seahawks in the pre-season week 1 match-up against the Patriots. Surrounded by a strong cast on offense and complimented by an experienced defense, Morgan would not disappoint as he was went 24 / 44 for 363 yds, 2 TD, and 1 INT at the goal line. Putting up 17 points in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks were able to overtake the Patriots at home, 31-27.

There are many aspects of the Seahawks game that need to be improved, but there were several good things that were taken from the pre-season game. Key acquisitions like Charles Clay and Torrey Smith made their presence known on offense early in the pre-season accumulating a TD reception each; while second year linebacker KeJuan Phillips filling in for the traded Kam Chancellor (for Torrey Smith) forced two fumbles on the day. The Seahawks are looking for such play to carry over through the rest of the pre-season and into the regular season.

    Good game, John. thaexistence

    Charles Clay TD reception...

Torrey Smith TD reception with example of successful flop by Morgan for RTP call (declined)...
