In the second move in the early off-season before the 2029 season the Tigers organization has gone out and picked up a big left-handed bat in RF Nomar Mazara from Colorado. It's no secret the main limiter for Tigers the previous two seasons has been the long ball. Mazara has managed to hit almost as many home runs recently as the entire Tigers team. We have struggled to compete while playing in so many game where 4 runs wins. Not only can Mazara mash the ball against RHP and LHP but he can play the RF corner position in deep, cavernous Comerica Park. Mazara posted a +12 ZN rating last year in a very hitter friendly park.

On the other end of the deal Colorado receives two young defensive studs and a $4,000,000 international FA SP ace. These three players would have struggled to make it to the show for the Tigers and the organization is happy to provide them an opportunity to play elsewhere while filling a large need in our line-up. Win/win for both clubs. Good luck and thanks to ZCar352 in the talks.

Detroit Tiger Short Stop Stan Sharp picks up the Gold Glove Award as a Rookie in the AL. SS Sharp came to Detroit in a trade that shipped the heavily under-preforming C Ron Schloss out of town to the Astros ty5oke . Detroit had wondered if Sharp would progress enough to reach his potentials with his superior defensive skills. He not only filled out his potentials but has also grown since being in Detroit. In addition to receiving Sharp in the deal, Detroit also acquired C Brantley who has been quite successful behind the plate in Detroit averaging 113 OPS+ in over 200 starts.

Newly acquired RF Mazara also picked up a Gold Glove while in Colorado. With Yi at LF, who won the Gold Glove 2 years ago, the Tigers outfield might finally be able to get the team over the hump after so many failed players who never developed internally in the OF.
