Explains a lot. I always thought cross platforms games were limited by the 360. It appears as though the complexity of the PS3 is the issue. I guess games like Madden and NCAA are going to be at somewhat of a disadvantage until next when, hopefully, both systems are easier to program for...

Does it seem the trend is less complication each cycle?:)

It does. Just wish they'd focus on getting the current stuff right instead of adding new things which are going to be compicated and cause issues. However, we wouldn't have custom conferences, coaching carousel or custom playbooks if that was the case so...

I must have missed something. From what I gathered it got more complex. Oh man, now I'm confused. Where am I?

We're you tallking about cycles of the game or cycles of systems?

Seems like its much more difficult to program and the games are getting more complex each cycle. I guess that would explain the bugs. However, I'd prefer less complication each cycle and less bugs :)

Great read, from what i gather, sounds like the systems became more complex and lack of debuggers and initial understanding of the systems slowed the development cycle a bit maybe? I guess developers would enjoy a more complex system but as long as they have the tools to troubleshoot as many issues as possible, i donno, great read nonetheless
