    My Visit to the Pro Football H.O.F.

    Last week I had to go up to Pittsburgh and then Thursday morning I drove over to Canton, OH to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It was awesome and even more than I expected. I wish I could have stayed for the enshrinement ceremony and game.

    Either way, I took some pics and thought I would share for those of you who have never seen it.

    Very cool, really want to get over there someday. We have the College Football Hall of Fame here in South Bend (at least for another year) and I guess it doesn't compare to the pro version.

    Gunit- Since you are a Cowboys fan maybe you can explain to me that how Michael Irvin is in the Hall and Andre Reed and Cris Carter are not. I was watching one of the NFL network top ten shows and didn't realize how those two aren't in but Irvin is. It makes zero sense to me.

    Carter, Cris 16 Years 1987 - 2002 Rec: 1,101 Yds: 13,899 Avg: 12.6 TD: 130
    Reed, Andre 16 Years 1985 - 2000 Rec: 951 Yds: 13,198 Avg: 13.9 TD: 87
    Irvin, Michael 12 Years 1988 - 1999 Rec: 750 Yds: 11,904 Avg: 15.9 TD: 65

    Thanks Tuco. You will really enjoy it once you visit. History of the game all around you.

    Speaking of Irvin. He was a winner, that's why.

    Carter=ZERO Superbowl Rings
    Reed=ZERO Superbowl Rings

    Irvin=THREE Superbowl Rings, and played BIG in all of them.

    But Carter and Reed i would imagine will get in, they just werent 1st Ballot guys like Irvin and others. I know Carter will get in and I would imagine Reed eventually.....remember, Reed & Carter played 16 seasons, while Irvin's career was cut-short with a career ending neck-injury...big difference.

    cris carter is first ballot, just the enshrinement rules make it tough, like its restricted how many modern era players can be on a ballot, and what positions. so sometimes depending who is up people have to get left off. ontopic i seen farve and reggie so as a packer fan im happy.

    Because we all know a certain #20 would of had that rushing record in the bag;)... But I do respect that E.Smith gave credit to Moose Johnson and that offensive line (or at least Moose), that's keeping it 100... but only if #20 had that opportunity...

    How much did it cost to get in? And did they have any items prior to the 60s (when my Birds were a dominating force)

    Well first off, Barry quit the game b/c the Lions wouldnt deal him. So that's on him. And nothing is "guranteed" in life unless you "actually" do it. Is it possible Barry Sanders could/should....sure....but he didnt. But I loved watching Barry, but even being a Die-Hard Cowboys fan, I will go to my Grave that Walter Payton was the best running back to play the game of football. Plus his book "Never Die Easy" is my favorite.

    In regards to costs....$20/per adult, kids are free. Yeah they had the old, old school stuff section too.
