Good grief. How do they not test this stuff? It's ridiculous the stuff that gets by these guys. I know they can't catch everything, but come on!

Apparently most, if not all players have a tendency change when they are named. So you save them and they glitch to a different tendency, ie scrambler to pocket, power to speed, speed to balance. So players don't necessarily play the way they are originally intended to play

I say just leave it. We will be in seasons 2 and 3 in no time and at that point it won't matter. I really haven't noticed enough to think anything out of the ordinary until now.

There is no fix. If we keep going it only impacts the dynasty for the first 4-5 seasons, as recruited players come in it should fix itself.

The problem described probably is impacting defense most, since every LB and S who should be a 'run stopper' or 'hard hitter' is now a 'coverage' player and plays much better vs the pass than they should (ie-the leaping INTs out of nowhere).

I agree, play on. But don't the players still play to their ratings? If you have a power back that has average speed and good break tackle ratings, is he now going to be running the ball outside and darting around like Demps?

The issue is how the CPU reacts when controlling players I believe.

This may also be impacting the injury glitch which causes them to reset when you exit the game.

Just as long as we can actually advance to season 2 with no problems this year I'll be happy.

I also wonder if its causing freezing? My bro has had at least 10 restarts because of freezing in our dynasty. This began day 1 but we made name changes to both our teams

    Could be.

I don't think restarting is a great idea, but then again, we've only been playing for about a week, so we wouldn't lose much.

After reading in a little more, the cpu is probably not playing the way they should be. Most are REALLY noticing a difference when they play each. I know for me its been a major difference in difficulty level seemingly for my other dynasty (went from 1-3 with wsu while bro was 2-2 with oregon), to 4-1 an 5-0 with named rosters on the same schedule).

Not to mention we have also had some freezes in this dynasty....so....

Ya know, I bet everything was good until adding the full roster customization patch on day 1.....

I'm going to try and play a game with the same two teams with the named rosters and the unnamed rosters and see what difference it makes.

OK - I played four quick games of USC-Utah, 2 with named rosters, 2 without.

Basically, the overall score of the games wasn't really different (I won 3 and lost 1), but the feel definitely was different. The games without the named rosters didn't have some of the crazy jumping INT's by LB's and the S's and CB's seemed less likely to warp across the field to make plays on balls that wouldn't seem realistic based on their ratings (both by my team and by the CPU).

If anyone else wants to, please try some games on the default rosters, feel free and let me know what you find.

so, what you're telling me is that i wouldn't have 8 picks with Luck if we were using default rosters....

I have had far more success passing the ball with the default rosters than with the named ones, but still have thrown more picks than I'm used to.

    So.....no, I still think you'd have 8 picks.:D

    :)

I am actually doing well passing. Not big numbers, but relatively (outside of penn state game) low turnovers and some efficient movement to sustain drives.

You might as well bust out the triple option wishbone ala Oklahoma of the 80's!
