As we close in on the end of the season, time to take a look at the guys who will be up for voting for the NL MVP Award. Please feel free to lobby for your players to try to convince the voters. Which will be done by us.

Although abolishthefed has struggled with offense, it's no fault of 3B Pablo Sandoval. His season stats so far: .357/.413/.607/1.013 19 HR 66 RBI 66 R, VORP 59.1 WAR 6.6 San Francisco is my pick for one of the two NL Wild Card spots, and Sandoval will help them here.

beardcoast certainly misses Prince Fielder, but Ryan Braun has picked up the slack dramatically. On the season he is .308/.379/.609/.988 with 31 HR, 86 RBI, 81 Runs scored and 14 SB VORP 58.9 WAR 6.1 The "Brew Crew" is another team I picked to win the NL Wild Card, Braun will carry them to that point.

Although County5 has disappeared from the face of the earth, the Rockies have led the NL West nearly the entire season. "Cargo" is the reason why. His stats so far: .324/.381/.604/.984 He has 34 HR, 105 RBI, 100 Runs and has added 13 SB. VORP 48.3 WAR 5.7

Fiddy14 is really pushing for a wild card spot as well, and David Wright has been consistent all season. He's batted: .261/.391/.516/.907 with 25 HR, 66 RBI and 90 Runs Scored. He's added 8 SB. His VORP is 47.6 with a 5.4 WAR

Besides being a monster at the plate, Sandoval has also been solid in the field with a +6.4 ZR and 1.032 EFF.

There is a correct answer in this race. I will wait to see who disagrees with me so I can discount their opinions on things the rest of the way.

Just so we're all on the same page, this means that people should say who they think should win and then I can either praise you or heckle you. So, get to it.

Cargo's been ballin this year. He's accounted for so many runs, it would be hard to vote against him.

None. But a .421 wOBA with plus defense at the hardest defensive position of the nominees should make Kung Fu Panda an incredibly easy selection here. He's the best player in the MLB by a wide margin this season.

Agreed, but if they don't make the playoffs, it may be closer than it should.

Wright, has been a solid bud for me. more so than i expected. i also didnt expect to have a decent last 3 sims and climb into the Wild Card hunt. with that said, Torres going down for me for 5 weeks hurts big time. i wouldn't be shocked with this sim tonight i drop back down to around 500 and out of contention. hopefully not though, come on David, put the Mets on your back dude!!

Eh, I've always been of the opinion that team record shouldn't matter anyway in award races. The only real negative I see for Sandoval is that he's hurt and will probably play about 20 less games than his competitors. It just means that his MVP season will have to be a slightly less productive version of Josh Hamilton's 2010 MVP season.
