    2012 Offseason

The National Title game will be played at 9 est. After the game I am saving it offline to see if Bogey gets an invite to a conference. After that I will be making a list of players that can't be swayed back.

If we can I hope to get to Recruiting Week 1 tonight!

    Staying:
    QB Jordan Reed
    CB Charles Gray

    Leaving Early:
    WR Andre Debose
    DE Jon Bostic

Reed coming back means McCloud gets a rare redshirt in his senior season, I can't imagine he will be happy about that. Gray will start opposite Evans next season and he still has 2 seasons of eligibility left. He will need to stick around for both years to have a shot a Jeremy Brown's career interception record and he will need to play at a very high level both of those seasons.

Debose leaving was a huge loss for Florida. The Gators lost the only 4 wide receivers who saw significant time the past season and their top 2 tight ends. Bostic leaving also hurts the Gators, the team is very thin at defensive line right now. Not sure who will step in to fill that void. The Gators only have 2 defensive ends returning next season and 1 recruit committed at that position. A linebacker or defensive tackle may have to swap positions to fill the role opposite rising sophomore Joe Rivers.

No insta-commits for Gators in week 1, but I'm going after just 2 players in offseason. I only have 9 seniors next season and 1 is getting a redshirt. For this reason I am going to save up at least 1 of my available scholarships this season, possibly 2 if my 4 star prospect signs elsewhere.

Why do I have a sinking feeling you are recruiting the same two guys I am?

I can only say that the 2 guys I'm recruiting have Florida as their #1 school. Both should be pretty obvious.

One a DT and one a WR? I'm going after the two I think you are on the off chance I can sneak in, but I've got backup plans for both positions just in case.

    Players leaving early for Texas:

QB Garrett Gilbert - I completely expected this and really he had nothing left to do at the college level. He leaves as the Texas record holder in QB rating, single season yards and TD. RS sophomore Scott Felder should be able to step in without an issue, as he got significant PT this year and is rated a 90 as a RS freshman.

DE Alex Okafor - Again, not a surprise, he was rated a 99 as a junior and keeping him would have been the surprise.

What I'm thrilled about is that HB Chris Whaley, DT Calvin Howell, DE Tevin Mims and my entire LB corp all stayed for their senior/junior years. All of them were pretty highly rated last year and I expect most of them to be rated in the 95+ OVR area when we hit next season.

Yeah you guessed correctly. I was really hoping they would insta-commit but looks like I have to work with them. Guess my scholarship offering skills aren't up to par with you :).

Only in recruiting, only in recruiting.

Now if you combined my game genie instant commit skills with Noles' user turnover abilities, the game might literally explode.

And yes Bogey elected to switch to Nebraska.

I'm looking forward to competing with Bogey in the Big 12. It will be nice to have a user vs user title game like you other guys in the SEC and ACC.

Take heart Juggs, with the Big 12 unbalanced schedule you may miss bogey some years.

But ya ain't getting away from me. The Horns are coming for revenge next year, so get your guys ready.

I do look forward to our matchup this year as it was a fun game to play last year, win or lose. The Big 12 championship is the only one I have a shot at apparently so you and Bogey are my national championship. If one of us is able to beat the other, beat another use and Bogey twice I don't think we should be required to play in a national championship game to be crowned the champ.

At least you made it to the game. Some of us would call that a hell of a season.
