Stealing this idea from The Rise

Anyone up for a PreRoster tourney to break in NCAA '12??

We could all use our teams to get a feel and get some early rivalries going. Winner could receive 1 untouchable recruit in Season 1 or something along those lines.

    Opinions?

I doubt that there will be any down time waiting for the rosters. Ryno already has the game in hand and is surely working on the roster file for us

You never know, a tourney shouldn't take more than a day or two. Plus I'm sure we are waiting a bit for Gators and Suge to return anyway. Maybe not Gators (gone a bit longer), but for Suge

Once we have rosters (with Russell Wilson at UW of course) I'd like to start the OD.

    That's Sausan Shakerin.

    http://utahutes.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/shakerin_sausan00.html

He would've been a 6-2, 222 JR (like the guy on EA's roster), but he's done with football forever after a concussion.

    From: http://www.blocku.com/2010/11/15/1815695/sausan-shakerin-career-ended-against-notre-dame

Palamo is much bigger and younger (and probably better) than Shakerin. He's a 6'2, 240 SO.

What's really sad about this is that Shakerin was declared finished back in November, yet EA still put him on the roster.

On my iPad at the firehouse = no flash player. I'm curious for night owls, I took tulane. Can you check their soph HB and give me some of his ratings? I think he's #24. Thanks.

Thanks jello. Not bad for a 1 star team, I'll take it.

Personally, I'd rather learn my team offline or play a few user matches to get back into it. Its been awhile since I've been on the sticks and really need to get accustomed to my squad. I'm thinking of starting Washington with singleback while recruiting and grooming a good FB before a conversion to competent pro set. However, if everyone else is onboard and I'm needed to make a tournament draft even out, I have no qualms in jumping into this.

Perhaps this deserves another thread, but I'm sitting on the boat, drinking and a tad lazy. Is anyone else torn between offensive play styles, like me? Are others starting with a soft setup while recruiting into something that better suits them in a few years?

Well i know year one i'm going with the Arizona pro-style/spread passing attacking. Nick Foles and these receivers are too good not to. But if the pistol is good this year, i want to run the pistol. I can occasionally run out of the pistol in '11 but its only with counters and power o's and that is not too fun. I want the option to work and it really doesn't in '11. Maybe it will more in '12. I'm so excited. 10 more days. AHHHH!

Both GoGators and I will need to completely rehaul our teams into spread option teams.

I'll get out of the gate in year one with my spread option attack largely due to persa (assuming I remain northwestern). Year 2 will probably require a switch to air raid/run n shoot until I can recruit and groom another spread option qb.
