UCF Notches 1st Win For Group 6
    Beat Pitt 28-21
    [IMG]

It was a back and forth game and sloppy game between UCF and Pittsburgh. UCF would get into scoring position early in the first but would miss a long FG. However, that would turn into the first score of the game as Pitt would catch and return the FG 106 yards for a TD and a 7-0 lead. The Knights would respond quickly though as RB Latavius Murray would take the first play of the next possession 83 yards for a game tying TD. After some sloppy play and a lot of turnovers, it would be Pitt to put together the next scoring drive in a long and controlled possession. They would take the lead of a TD run by Ray Graham 14-7. But again, UCF would respond quickly. Not in one play this time, but in three getting a 39 yard TD pass from QB Blake Bortles to TE Justin Tukes. And that would take the game into halftime tied at 14-14.

In the 2nd half, UCF got the ball first and was looking to play a more controlled game and that worked for most of the 2nd half. The Knights would get a FG late in the 3rd and in the middle of the 4th to take control 20-14. However, Pitt and Graham couldn't be kept down. With 2 minutes left in the game, Ray Graham broke through for a 64 yard TD run giving the Panthers a 21-20 lead. Unfortunately for them though, they left too much time on the clock as UCF marched down the field and scored the game winning TD and 2 point conversion with just 12 seconds remaining off of a run by RB Storm Johnson.

    Maryland Beats Rutgers
    Maryland:23
    Rutgers:7
College Park, MD- After the first quarter of the first game of group play in group 4 of the Tradition Sports Online PS3 launch tournament, Rutgers held a 7-0 lead over home team Maryland and showed no signs of stopping. "I was worried, he ran the ball all the way down the field, I couldn't stop him. I went 3 and out on my first possesion and then he was moving the ball again, it looked like I was in for a long afternoon" said coach Broth262. But then the Terrapins forced an interception just one of the five turnovers that Rutgers would make over the course of the game, and the whole tide turned.
From that point on, Maryland would score 23 unanswered points and would allow only 120 more yards of offense for Rutgers after they had amassed 82 on their opening drive. "Eventhough the score and the stats look a little lopsided with our +5 turnover ratio and a score of 23-7, it really wasn't. I didn't feel out of the woods, until I had the ball with about a minute to go in the game. We were never out of this and pitt4life21 is a heck of a player and hopefully I don't have to play him again because I'm not sure I could beat him again."

    Northwestern edges UCF 10-7

Northwestern took advantage of turnovers and a shaky kicking game to defeat UCF 10-7. Stats were nearly identical with Northwestern winning the turnover battle.

Utah over Texas A&M in a game that came down to the Aggies going for a 2 point conversion in the 2nd overtime, but they fell short when the Utes picked if off in the back of the endzone. Hell of a game DrunkenSoldier .

    Northwestern over Pitt 14-10

Northwestern edges Pitt in a hard fought game. Northwestern forced 2 key turnovers, including one to secure the win. The ground game and 3rd down conversions seemed to be the key. Good game RW.
