Damn..... not sure my class is qualified to post in here. Will get mine up though, I've been slacking.
2014 Mizzou Recruiting Class Highlights - #7 OVR ranked class (#2 User) - 7 ESPNU 150 Recruits - Added Florida as pipeline
Cal adds 4 more recruits (3 studs) in a terrific offseason recruiting spree. Coach Jello came just 15 fucking points away from signing #1 FS Young following his visit to Berkeley in week 5. BUT..... since he barely missed out on him then coach Jello had to recruit him all season and survive 4 other visits AND then stave off 4 other schools during the offseason to finally sign the #1 FS in the country. He's very solid overall with 94 SPD/91 ACC as well as 80 TKL, which coach Jello really, really values in safeties. His 74 ZCV is a little low, but Young will be a monster in the future. #4 DE Scott Snyder also took forever to make his decision but he'll join #7 DE Matt Johnson (who is the best recruit in coach Jello's class) as bookends for many years to come. OLB Brent Jones became a need once Nathan Broussard declared early for the draft following the National Championship game. Luckily the Bears signed him. Like pretty much every other OLB that coach Jello has had on the Bears roster, Jones can only do 1 of 2 things (in Jones' case he's a great tackler/pursuer in the run game, but a very mediocre cover guy). Coach Jello is still searching for that elusive "Jack of all trades" OLB for his team that can play every down. JUCO transfer Eric Young is simply a body to add some depth at OLB. He only got an offer after Broussard left so I'm sure a thank you card will be in the mail to Broussard soon.
California finishes with the #6 overall recruiting class. There are some talented kids in there (including 8 ESPNU150 kids as well as some talented, undervalued JUCO transfers that can step on the field early. Coach Jello had to sign 21 kids initially (and 23 following 2 early declarers) so he went for a lot of guys that wanted to come to Cal rather than just going for the cream of the crop. This strategy worked amazingly well as the Bears signed 22 total kids to fill out the ranks nicely. Next season Cal only has 16 schollies (with only 11 the following year), they're now a schools, and coach Jello has maxed out Kitchen Sink so you can expect him to target and sign many studs rather than just going for the lower ranked kids.
Cal nets their 1st recruit after only week 3. Abrams is a very solid LB with decent speed (82 SPD/85) and more importantly, an excellent 87 TKL.
Cal adds their 2nd prospect in as many weeks, and if there's ever a better CB recruit, I can't imagine what he'd look like. Little has good speed with 94/94 and his cover skills are ridonkulous. He'll end up as a 99/99/99 lockdown corner before it's all said and done.
Missouri picks up two recruits after the scare against Auburn. Edwards projects to be a very aggressive end while Jones will likely play later in his career in Columbia.
BRUCE80 Raidernation dakota7 UofCWildcat Please update you recruit tracking speadsheet this year so I can add your recruits to the Impact tracker next year!
And FYI, Ty Jones is a boss MLB who is playing and olb this season and taking over MLB when Devin Gordon leaves.
Absolutely, my apologies for the slack in my step. Even if this has been my worst series of years in NCAA
As my team has improved its rating and prestige recruiting has gotten harder.. I have signed a FB...and nothing else.
Week 7 was big for the Bears with the signing of 6 studly recruits and with 3 more set to sign next week. The Bears battled coach dakota7 all year for McFadden who is gonna be a MONSTER at HB. He has tremendous speed with 95 ACC/98 SPD and, unlike most speed backs, he has good CAR with 79 to go with his awesome ELU, SPM, and JKM. Coach UofCWildcat tried to battle the Bears for DT Goss but didn't really stand a shot. Despite his 81 OVR rating Goss will only be an average DT with 79/75/78 PMV/FMV/BSH. G Tony Alexander is the best OL that coach Jello has signed and T John Adams, despite his low 76 OVR is nearly as beastly. This is finally the beginnings of a dominant O-line. Coach Jello was battling Missouri for another DE knew he'd end up waiting for the offseason to sign so coach Jello explored other options. They ended up with ESPNU150 guy Brian Herring who is better anyway. USC locked us out in week 5 and we trailed by ~2000. We used a lock pick, scheduled a visit and signed him 2 weeks later (we went from -2000 to +1350 in only 2 weeks). WR Matt Nealy is yet another ESPNU signing this year for the Bears. He's slower than shit (83 SPD), but he will catch anything thrown remotely in his area.
Go go Royal Treatment 3! Even though you spent 500 points on him, with the visit it wasn't even close.
