Guys make sure you are aware of our recruiting rules

    OFFSEASON:
    Players Leaving
A user will not be allowed to attempt to sway a player out of the pro draft if he is:
    - > 90 OVR
    - a JR that has won the Heisman
    - a JR and has won a major award (Thorpe, Maxwell, Biletnikoff, etc.) AND is > 90 OVR
    - Kickers and Punters can be swayed from pro draft regardless of OVR and class.

    Scholarships
The amount of scholarships that can be offered at any given time will be dictated by the following formula:

    (70 - A) + B + C + D = total number of available scholarships, where:

A = current number of players on roster
B = number of graduating seniors
C = number of underclassmen that qualify for pro draft (see Players Leaving)
    D = one (1) additional scholarship
Note: Committed players count against your scholarship limit

1st violation: 2-scholarship deduction + 1 game suspension of player of commish's choice
2nd violation: 5-scholarship deduction + 3 game suspension of player of commish's choice
    3rd violation: removal from league

    Recruiting
    - Each user can sign a maximum of four (4) [IMG]
    - Users can only recruit within their pipeline OR if the user’s school is listed in the top 10 for a recruit (i.e. green dot)

The scholarship limit calculation always confuses me so lemme see if I got this right...

    If I have...
    > 60 players on scholarship for 2013
    > 10 seniors that aren't being red-shirted in 2013
    > 5 draft eligible players that I'm not allowed to persuade to return
    > 3 draft eligible players that I AM allowed to persuade to return

Then I have 26 scholarships for the 2014 class?
    (70 - 60) + 10 + 5 + 1

    > The 3 players that I can persuade don't factor in right?

correct you can't account for the 3 players until they make their decision to return or leave. If they leave your able to fill their spots in the offseason

    For clarification:

If we have Juniors that could go early into the draft we can count them towards our scholly limit? What if they don't end up declaring?

Personally I always account for my all my juniors as staying then if they leave I just fill their spot in the off-season. If you anticipate them leaving and they stay you will risk being over your scholarship limit

It's always a delicate balance you have to juggle with those guys who can leave early. The first season I will be more tolerant of any infractions but after that I won't .

Well as of right now there seems to be a bug where no eligible Juniors are declaring. It's been reported in the issues thread. Like Johnny Manziel staying through his Senior year without ever declaring or being swayed. Not sure if that will get updated or not.

You get 1 for the empty roster spot, 15 for the Seniors, and 1 extra scholly for depth.

So you can extend 17 scholarships!

Umm...yeah the whole points system vs calling them and pitching categories to recruits is gonna take some time to get used to. At least for me.

I'm really glad I started an offline dynasty to get used to the new recruiting. Once you get the hang of it, it does save a LOT of time over prior years going down the list one by one and spending minutes doing monotonous tasks.

Do the a point allotments carry over to the next week, or do I have to re-allocate every time from scratch

They carry over until the player commits, then you get his points back in the bank.
