I meant to pick two...I don't mind either option that has a draft.

I think if we can pick teams without a draft that would be ideal, but if we can't amongst ourselves pick that way then draft. I honestly don't care about teams, although it would even the playing field to limit prestige. This helps alot with recruiting and the future direction of our teams. It is just hard for the Illinois's to compete with the OSU and Michigans in the virtual world and IRL. Gonna be interesting to see how others view this.

Right now, it looks like it, but I'm waiting for a couple more people to vote.

That's cool. How do you plan to choose the order?

Using www.random.org for the order. I'll type in the 12 names and let it work its magic. And no worries about me rigging it, because I've got a plan to prove I'm doing it legit.

Is everyone still on board with under 4* teams? Only 5 people voted that way so far even though its the winning option. Actually I would be more concerned with the lack of responses.....

After I voted, I started thinking, and I would actually love the 4* and under draft. It's a great, fair way to pick teams and would definitely even out the playing field. Whoever has Ohio State, Michigan, FlaSt, Miami, etc. are going to have an extreme advantage. Especially Ohio State! Have you seen their rosters!? So beastly.

I voted, but wasn't paying attention to the fact that I can pick two. So add another vote to 4* under draft

Pretty much a lock to be a 4* and under draft now.

Hey guys, I need some help...

So since it looks like we're going with the 4* and under route, I was rethinking our decision to choose the Big 10 as our second conference. For some reason, I'm thinking you guys aren't dying to play with Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, etc etc. I'm putting together a list of the eligible teams in the power conferences to choose from - let me know if you want to chance to another one or stay as is. Remember, we have to place 6 users in 2 conferences. If I don't get enough responses, then I'm going to make the decision on my own. I promise we'll get everything figured out here soon. :)

ACC (We're sticking with this one)

Louisville is not eligible since they join in year 2...

    Boston College (3 star)
    NC State (3 star)
    Wake Forest (2 star)
    Georgia Tech (4 star)
    UNC (4 star)
    Virginia (3 star)
    Syracuse (3 star)
    Pittsburgh (3 star)
    Duke (2 star)

    Big 10

Rutgers and Maryland are not eligible since they join in year 2...

    Michigan State (4 star)
    Indiana (2 star)
    Illinois (3 star)
    Minnesota (2 star)
    Northwestern (3 star)
    Iowa (4 star)
    Purdue

    Big 12

    Baylor (3 star)
    Kansas (2 star)
    Kansas State (Not listed, assuming)
    Iowa State(Not listed, assuming)
    Texas Tech (3 star)
    West Virginia (4 star)

    Pac 12

    Arizona (3 star)
    Arizona State (3 star)
    Cal (3 star)
    UCLA (3 star)
    Washington (4 star)
    Washington State (1 star)
    Oregon State (3 star)
    Colorado (2 star)
    Utah (4 star)

    SEC

    Arkansas (4 star)
    Auburn (4 star)
    Kentucky (2 star)
    Missouri (4 star)
    Vanderbilt (3 star)
    Tennessee (4 star)

I say Pac 12 or Sec as our 2nd conf. to choose teams from, but I will be happy with whatever we all decide on.

Why not consider 3 conferences for more choices of teams?? 4 users/3conferences. I think you can always protect cross division rivals, so you can still play 3 conference users and have up to 4 OOC user games. Plus the CCG. Just a thought. I think we really need to get everyone happy on team selection so they don't flake out.

But if not it looks like the Pac 12 has more teams to choose from. Plus you get a coast to coast feel if you pair it up with the ACC.

I personally want to stay away from the SEC, every OD uses the SEC.

Really though CPU games still suck no matter what. 2 Conferences gives everyone a solid slate of user games.

I like the Pac 12 to pair with the ACC. Although now you have teams spread throughout the country and wont be many user vs user battles for the same kids.

Agreed CPU games are a bore. But just want to make sure peeps get a team they can tolerate, even when they are losing. PAC and ACC give you 9 teams each to choose from. The others only 6, so last pick may get "stuck" with a team.

I'd rather see 2 conferences be in the same area. Recruiting battles would be more awesome if both conferences are after the same kids.

    BIG 10 TEAMS
Indiana - 2 Star - Solid Young Roster. Not a ton of depth
Maryland - 2 Star** - Very good Offense. Young just needs to have better Prestige
    Michigan State - 4 Star
    Rutgers - 3 Star**
    Illinois - 3 Star
    Iowa - 4 Star
Minnesota - 2 Star - The worst of the 2 stars as far as overall talent goes.
    Northwestern - 3 Star
    Purdue - 3 Star

    ACC TEAMS
    NC State - 3 Star
Wake Forest - 2 Star - Solid offense. Lacks future QB
    Boston College - 3 Star
    North Carolina - 4 Star
    Georgia Tech - 4 Star
Duke - 2 Star - Very Solid actually on offense. Again young talent.
    Virginia - 3 Star

Really if we add Rutgers and Maryland right off the bat then there is 8 BIG 10 schools and 7 ACC. That means 15 schools for 12 users. There are 5- 2* however. So that means a draft would be the most fair luck of the draw. It will be harder right off the bat for the 2 star schools however in a few seasons it wont matter as the rosters will be much different.

We could also look at maybe adding or trading a 3 star UCF to the ACC which would add another good school. Or adding another team

Like Hokie said, with the Big 10 and Big 12, since there is only 6 teams to choose from, people are going to get "stuck" with teams, and quiet frankly, I think the teams to get stuck with is piss poor at best in the Big 10. The SEC also has 6 but at least the teams are much better quality overall. As fun as it would be to see 12 teams recruiting the same guys if the conferences were closer together, I know I'd rather everyone have teams they want to be and I feel like the Pac-12 is the best option here. But I'll let some others chime in before I make it official.

The B1G has 7 to choose from (you forgot Purdue on your initial list, HarkTheSound). Technically only one person would get stuck with a 2 star school, and if we moved Rutgers over a year early (which we could do), everybody would get a 3* and up school. It would literally be the exact same thing with the SEC, where one person would be stuck with 2* Kentucky. ACC, nobody gets a 2* unless they choose one. And really, with nobody being 5* or higher school, the SEC vs ACC recruiting battle idea is overblown due to nobody being a team in Florida.
