Can I suggest Houston being off limits as well?

They're going to be ranked in the top 25 next season. Having one good season in the Texas area I think is going to equal way easy recruits, even on next year's game.

IMO, Houston should be locked too. They're a top 25 team this year.

I was going to suggest that, but the program hasn't really had any success. They didn't even win their conference last year. I agree they do have a good team, mostly because of Keenum and their offense.

I'm going to lock them, if someone REALLY wants them, I will listen to your reasoning.

Ouch... Good thing is most teams should be close in talent, hopefully theres' still one left you'll enjoy running with.

I'm only a couple spots ahead of you, picking from the rear also.

I would have like to have picked Houston. My only argument would be that I live in Houston and it is more interesting to run with a team you have a connection with. Houston had a decent yr, but didn't win their own conference and has never been classified as a "good" team. But if members fill Houston would be an unfair advantage no big deal.

With the 1st pick in the NCAA 2011 Football Team draft Coach Big Slick chooses:

    SMU Mustangs*

    *unless I can have Houston

Personally I don't have an issue with Houston, Especially since that's your home team.... I agree their close to the borderline, but I'm on the side of allowing them in.

I think we should leave Houston off the board. The more I think about it, they're pre-season Top 25 and I think the spirit was to "Climb The Ladder".

    Twist is on the clock.

Tough choice. I was hoping to have one of the last picks, so I could see who everyone else took. I will select my Alma Mater, Toledo.

I'm not sure what is going through my brain with this one.

I'm taking the University of Wyoming.

They were definitely one of the teams I was thinking about taking. They're offense is a lot of fun to play with (albeit, they aren't very good when compared to other teams).

Well any recruits coming out of Wyoming, I'm sure your program will be at the top of their list.... No Big schools close by to compete in recruiting.

Man I was thinking u were picking Akron.

On another hand, I am also willing to switch teams to even out conferences when all the picks are done, that way we can build up some interesting rivalries and make it easier scheduling.

Yeah, it's just the wait's killer.

I'm not as worried about the lack of choice in teams as the lack of choice in conferences. By the time it gets to me, I'll only be able to pick the scraps from 1 conference instead of the 4 to keep the "3 in each conference" balance (which I'm totally cool with, but limits my options considerably).

Knowing my luck, I'll be stuck with the worst team from the MAC. I really don't want to play with Eastern Michigan. VBG

Sorry. Had to make the B-52's joke. You'll get it all next season, bro. VBG

Yeah........I hear ya. Someone had to go last.....it sucks.

After the draft, trades are always a possiblity. I'm okay with anything you can work out.

Hey, I'm okay with going last. It does give me a good idea of the landscape of the league, and in real coaching, you don't always have a choice of where you're going, so I guess it's more realistic. I'm not complaining a bit.

Doesn't mean that I like it though. Luck o' the Hoosiers, eh? VBG
