NCAA Football 10: Dynasty Sim Impressions

    Ok guys,

I am going to start simming some seasons to see what recruiting looks like, etc.

    My first impression:

    1. I like the new recruiting interface, except seeing skills for recruits. You have bar charts arranged horizontally, you have to scroll with the left stick to see them.

    2. The first season in pre-season recruiting there are 40 5 star players. None are interested in Army.:)

    3. I take that back, no one in the top 100 is interested in Army right now. The most interested prospect is a 6'5" 264 lbs tackle (1 star).

    Shaun

Does there seem to be more high star gaurd and OLINE? Wasnt that the problem last year with CPU teams having no depth?

I've been bitching about that since the first screenshot of the recruit skills screen came out. Why they need a bar chart to tell people B+ is higher than B is beyond me.

    Boo to slowing down recruiting.

In the season I am in:

    Guards
    2 - 5 star
    19 - 4 star

    Tackles
    1 - 5 star
    23 - 4 star

    Centers
    0 - 5 star
    9 - 4 star

What I don't know yet is how spread out the star distribution is and are there sleepers.

It would be nice to track progression, but it would be a pain manually.

Shaun, I'd be very interested to see how many "new" recruits pop up after the regular season.

I can check the numbers of OL against what I have above.

Note: It took 6 minutes to sim the regular season (I have the game on my harddrive FYI).

Army went 6-6 with a nasty 0-45 loss to Duke.

Funny observation, Army moved a tackle to WR in real life.

A 6'10" 283 WR caught 57 balls in the fleXbox One.

Wow! How were the FB stats? In the past FBs would never get a realistic amount of carries in fleXbox One offenses.

Nope, the SB (one) and the QB were the major carriers.

Nice to see the crazy QB ratings down a bit.

    2 QBs > 180 (Bradford and Lefevor)

Next closes is Kansas #5 with 166.5

No linebackers in the top of the INT totals.

    Dwyer had 22-129 0 TD

Whoever #20 is had 1300+ yards. The B back should get more hand offs.

When I played GT last night, freaking Dwyer killed me, especially if I didn't fill with the MLB (that's who I was locked on controlling).

How are the FB prospects? They were way to scarce in '09.

There are 45 5 star players in the off-season, so five were added. It prompts you to tell you they were added.

    Centers
    0 - 5 stars
    9 - 4 stars

    Tackles
    2 - 5 stars
    23 - 4 stars

    Guards
    2 - 5 stars
    19 - 4 stars

There does seem to be more FB athletes.

FB is a tough position in real life these days also.
