    NCAA Season 2 - Recruiting

    2011 Spartan Recruits

MSU received two insta signs in Week 1

:4stars: J.T. Austin QB(#16) 6'6 190 Texarkana, Ark Austin comes in with a B- in throwing power and accuracy and a B for break tackle. He is very slow, but looks to be the prototypical pro style QB. He will redshirt and wait his turn behind now RS Freshman Joe Boisture.
:3stars: Curtis Bailey SS(#12) 6'3 193 Plymouth, MI The only thing Bailey lacks is top end speed, but he has great coverage skills, and excellent awareness for a high school player. He could see playing time as a freshman.

Damn! I filled up my board yesterday before going to bed. I'm looking @ it now online and it shows them all listed and who's a top 150 recruit. 29 of the 35 guys I targeted is in the top 150! Last year I didn't target enough studs, and this year I cleared targeted too many! I'll have to pare that list down.

Also, with Forcier's departure, not only did he take away a solid backup QB and by far the most accurate QB I had, but the bastard also took my California pipeline (which I worked so hard to establish last season) with him! Now I need to rebuild it again. (n)

Good luck with that. We go after the guys that really want to come to Texas, you ain't overcoming me when I start #1, but feel free to waste your time, I'm sure Florida and FSU will enjoy it.

I'd bet that probably at least 10 of our 12 user teams (if not all 12) have Texas as a pipeline.

You and Clemson were the 2 "maybe nots."

    EDIT:
And holy shit! I just checked and not only do you not have a Texas pipeline, but you don't have a single player on your roster from Texas.

    Who is that possible?

    EDIT2:
Shockingly to me, only Texas, Ok. St, FSU, Alabama, Miami, and Michigan have Texas as a pipeline. I'm shocked that aOSU and Florida don't have it. There's also some schools, IE MSU and Georgia, that don't have a single Texas kid on their roster.

Like I said, feel free to waste your time if the kid has me #1 right now. I'll make sure to tell you if he instant commits (NOT).

I'm an idiot apparently. Where can I see how many players on my roster are from what state? And also how many players are needed to set up a pipeline?

Hova, you aren't in the top 3 for any of the recruits I have on my board right now. So that means that either you are chasing the dragon trying to catch up 300+ points vs me and the CPU or I haven't found the guy you are looking at yet.

I haven't finalized my board, as I had to head off last night to hit the sack. I plan on doing a bit deeper dive into the recruits tonight before I start recruiting.

You need 4 recruits for a pipeline.

On the dynasty wire, look @ your (or anyone else's) roster and it shows everyone's home town. Then just search for, IE, ", TX" and you can see everyone from Texas.

Unfortunately, when you sort them, it sorts by hometown instead of state.

In week 1, Clemson gets an insta-commit from a :4stars: DT. This fills an immediate depth chart need for next year and will allow the Tiger's staff to recruit other prospects harder. Leonard isn't very quick, but he has nice size and strength. He also has solid line moves and block shedding grades.

Sure did, historic week of recruiting in Austin, as 14 top 150 recruits committed to play for Coach Dru next year. I'm all done recruiting for the year, and will take offers from anyone who would like me to negatively recruit vs their rivals.

    Holy Sh!t.

Bad News is Texas gets it's first pick of the litter.

Good New is, at least I only miss out on 1 week of recruiting for the kids that are left I didn't go after because I figured Texas was an auto lock.
