Season 1 is winding down and the conference races are getting hot, whether you see it or not.

The ACC Atlantic has come down to a 2 horse race, as the Clemson Tigers failed to keep their conference record close to that of FSU's and Boston College's. Florida State was running away with it, until a slip up last week against rival Miami. Now, the Boston College Eagles find themselves 1 game back, hoping for the Seminole Slide to continue.

In the ACC Coastal, Virginia Tech and Miami continue to duel it out for the right to go to the ACC Championship Game. Virginia Tech sits at 5-1 in conference, with Miami at 5-2. The Hokies have a tough meeting with North Carolina this week...a win could solidify their place in the big dance. However, the Tarheels may have something to say about it, as they also only have 2 losses in conference.

With the inaugural B1G Championship Game on the horizon, the Leaders and Legends divisions have been battling it out for the right to be crowned the first team to win the B1G Conference Championship Game. In the Leaders division, the Ohio State Buckeyes want to be that team. They sit at 5-1 in conference, despite all the controversy plaguing them during the offseason. Wisconsin is right behind them, and OSU has a huge game this week against Penn State, and still has to finish the season in a hostile Ann Arbor, who is home to no slouch.

The Legends division is also a tight one, as the newly acquired Nebraska Cornhuskers are making their B1G debut meaningful. With an undefeated conference record, Nebraska looks to be the favorite, but border rival Iowa has only 1 loss in conference, despite the 7-3 record, and is looking to shake up their dreams. The Nebraska versus Iowa game at the end of the season is looking to be a monster.

Last, but certainly not least the SEC is home to possibly the tightest conference race ever. In the East, three teams sit with two losses in conference, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The Gamecocks are done with their SEC schedule and with a big win over Tennessee, should be headed to the SEC Conference Championship game. Kentucky and Tennessee still play in the final week of the season, but it all seems to be falling to short for both programs.

In the West, no clear cut winner has been decided...this race is still on. They also have three teams with two conference losses, and also Mississippi State with 3 conference losses; still in contention. The Crimson Tide hold the edge right now, but rival Auburn and LSU are waiting. The only remaining game on the schedule for Auburn and Alabama, is the Iron Bowl, which should decide the SEC West's warrior in the SEC CCG.
