    Nebraska Cornhuskers

    week 10

Nebraska gets enough out of all facets of their team to get the win against a fiesty Missouri team. Missouri fought hard, especially their QB and their really good catching WR's and RB's. They piled up decent yardage but the Huskers bent but didnt break most of the time.

The Huskers defense picked off an option pass and ran it back to the house in teh first quarter to get the ball rolling. Most of the offense of Nebraska was around RB Castille. With Helu Jr. out for 3 weeks, castille got a lot of carries and produced with 185 rushing yards and 2 TD's. Zac Lee also threw for a TD in the win.

    week 11 vs. TAMU

Nebraska holds on against Texas A&M 38-35

Nebraska dominated the game for 3 quarters, forcing 3 turnovers and controlling the clock with the running game. The offense held up well without their 2 best players QB Zac Lee and RB Helu Jr. The main cog of the offense was RB Quinten Castille who carried 22 times for 115 yards and 3 TD's. As a 245 lb running back, he proved to be too much for the aggies to tackle. Backup RB Okafor had 32 yards and TD, and FB Thomsen had a goaline TD for the huskers. All the hucker's TD's game via the running game. Leading the recieving was TE Mike McNeill who had 95 yards on 6 catches.

On Defense, the 4th quarter seemed to be the downfall, giving up 3 TD scoring drives. Aside from that, the defense totally shut down TAMU's star RB Chris Gray. First year starter QB Tannehill proved to be a tough competitor and led some nice drives for the aggies. He threw 4 TD's and a pick. The defense is still trying to find it's indentity under the new coaching staff.

Overall a good win heading into a bye week.

    Huskers dominate rival Colorado 42-13

The running game was dominant all game long, and Cody Green was very effective passing when called upon. Quinton Castille had 102 yards and 2 TD's, Chris Okafor had 81 yards and 2 TD's and FB Kyle Thompsen contributed with the other rushing TD. Cody Green was 6-8 for 127 yards and 2 TD's in the win. Mainly on play action, he was able to make the reads and hit the open guys. WR Henry hauled in a 61 yard TD in the first half to extend the husker lead.

This was the best performance by the defense under the new regime. Only allowing 170 yards passing and 65 yards rushing. They also forced 2 turnovers (1FF and 1 int). Defensive leaders were LB Lawrence with 12 tackles, and both Yancy and Whaley had 2 sacks each. Nebraska had 5 sacks total in the win.

Next up is buffalo to boost their chances of a BCS bowl bid
