After taking down PSU last week, there was some unfinished business for the Cornhuskers. They needed to redeem themselves of the BIG10 title they lost to PSU last year. And they were determined to bring that back to Nebraska.

But the story of this game maybe the change in philosophy for the PSU Nittany Lions over the week. PSU made a change at QB that went under the radar as the speedy Ryan Stark was benched in favor of the more pocket passing QB Mike Bensen. This change threw Nebraska off guard but they quickly adjusted and felt PSU trying to air it out HELPED them out more than anything.

The result was PSU's heisman winning RB Maurice West only rushing the ball for 87 yards on 16 carries, a far cry from the 200+ yards he had last week against the same Nebraska defense. Bensen tried to stretch the field with his arm but just couldn't avoid being sacked or throwing to a Nebraska defender. They sacked him 5 times and picked him off 4 times in the game which turned over field position a lot in favor of the hot arm of Jeff Lindsey and this Nebraska offense. Lindsey continued to be hot throwing for 234yds and 4TD's with just 1 INT. His backfield mate, Maurice Bryant had 67yds on 14 carries and a TD but also had 85yds on 3 receptions and a TD.

The win putts Nebraska back in the title game to face the Stanford Cardinal
