The first such report comes from the Kansas City Star, which is reporting that Nebraska has accepted an offer to join the Big Ten. According to the paper, university officials contacted the Big Ten late this morning to inform the league of their decision. The Omaha World-Herald is also confirming the Star report, writing that, according to sources from conference offices, Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany contacted his Big 12 counterpart, Dan Beebe, to inform Beebe that Delany had officially invited Nebraska. According to the Lincoln Journal Star, a press conference has been scheduled for 5:45 p.m. ET to officially announce the move.
