I've been playing tonight and found out a couple things:

    1. I'm not sure you can manually change your schemes. You can change your playbook and you can change what type of player you're interested in that position though.

    2. There is a full preseason schedule in CCM. It automatically subs in your backups each quarter for you.

    3. There is some kind of coaching carousel. Am assuming everyone wants this turned off so you can just stay your team?

    1. Luckily I'm using the Bucs default schemes.

    2. That's kind of cool.

    3. I would think with 32 users we definitely want this off.

Also the practice scenarios are no fucking joke. I failed the only one I've tried tonight.

    Excellent.

    I like the preseason idea.

Hmm, don't think I like the idea of having to play preseason games. Especially since starters play special teams after the auto-subs. Losing a starter for an extended period of time in preseason because of that would suck.

    1. I know I will be sticking with the Cowboys defensive playbook and I guess I might as well stick with their offensive one too.

    2. I think it is nice to have preseason so you can get familiar with your team year in and year out.

    3. Definitely want that turned off. Only I can have my Cowboys! :)

I'm really excited about doing getting into practice mode each week.

My guess is the preseason games will be an important aspect as far as building additional XP and also learning more about your players like oh, I dunno that 6th round running back that just seems to keep making plays? I'm guessing that we gotta play with guys and unlock ratings and such to see if they'll end up being good and maybe, just maybe, we'll find a real gem every once and awhile and maybe we'll end up cutting a stud.

Was kind of wondering about preseason, guess we have our answer. The negative outside of injury risk is this adds about 8 days to the season itself.

Don't like the coach carousel enabled.

They are expanded. First year I had over 70 guys on my roster and had to progressively cut down to 53.

I simmed through a season last night and did the draft also.

The draft and scouting is going to be much more of a crapshoot.

You mean as far as "hitting" on your picks right?

    Good.

If they fit your scheme and are fully scouted is this still a crapshoot?

You don't get enough time to scout many people well.

I went through last night, you get 2000 points a week, it costs:

    2000 - Unlock overall
    25 - Scout Scheme
    Speed - 100 to get a range (i.e. B?) - 500 more to get the actual grade

Also, in player progression, it will take forever to make a fast guy faster. Brandon Weeden needed 20K points to move his throwing power from 93->94, he didn't get that much all season.

    Right.

Plus, the projected draft spots are misleading for you. For example, I drafted a guy in round 1 at #2 and he was an 75. He was projected in the Top 5. The guy I took in the second round was projected mid 3rd and he was an 80 overall.

Fun thing about the draft...it is timed, if you don't pick in the time allotted it will pick for you. That includes trades too. You have 3 minutes in the first round to work out trades, that drops to a minute and a half later.

Something else to think about; players will be rated differently in every scheme.

With inconsistent ratings, anyone have any ideas about how the trade committee is supposed to judge trades?

It might just involve making sure someone isnt trading Tom Brady for Tim Tebow kind of thing...

Feasible until they are not real players.

Not really but there are a lot of different attributes this year and since they change relative to scheme it's hard to judge somebody's potential and such.

Honestly my thought process is trending toward this. I thought about using the trade committee as of the veto that monitors the trades and then can retroactively reverser one that's ridiculously unfair.

If we let people eff their cap wouldn't that lead to people resigning since their cap is effed? And then screwing the new owner...
