Please post here if you are interested in a start up Madden 15 Xbox One league. Please do not post if you are already in a bunch of leagues, especially here at TSO. Commissioner and format are TBD. Please let me know if you are interested in becoming a commissioner.

If I could design an ideal format for myself..... (and to serve a different subset of gamers within TSO as well as to differentiate the league from TMFL's offering.)

    1. You can play your games (read, kickoff begins) between 5pm EST and 11pm EST) Perhaps slightly later if games in M15 don't take 1hour/60mins
    2. "Slower" advance pace. I put that in quotes because slow is relative. TMFL advances every 48hours, my idea would definitely not be that. Per 7 days, 2 advances. That allows for us busy folk or people with busy family lives still time to dive in.
    3. General Manager focus. Some additional team management rules above and beyond (things like trade restrictions, trades with CPU allowed, additional cap penalties, whatever else we can think of to promote a more in depth Management experience)
    4. Simulate every other season to playoffs - then play the playoffs as normal. This is for a few reasons.
      1. A slower advance pace means we would get in less seasons over the entire M15 cycle. Simulated seasons will allow us to get further into the file
      2. In a simulated season, things like team chemistry (which has been teased for M15) and overall team composition are emphasized - which this league wants
      3. Getting deeper into the file will reward good cap management. Bad contracts will punish you. Good contracts will reward you.
      4. More offseason nights are always a good thing.
    5. A slower advance pace, in theory at least, means more time for content. I would personally head up a good deal of content including power rankings, possibly a podcast as I have done in the past, rookie previews, mvp polls etc - anything to get the league interacting really. With 48 hour advances league content is out of date the day after its put out. With only 2 advances a week, there is time to research more and enjoy more of the content that's created.

Thats about as far ahead as I've thought. This is obviously just me spitballing but, at least its out there now.

I'm looking for a league, but would be hesitant with a slower advance. Under the proposed 2 advances per week, it would take about 3 months to finish 1 season. For me, that's just too long and doesn't facilitate for 'building' a team as much. People don't have to strategize for future years when in reality you're only looking at playing 3 seasons (4 at absolute most). That being said, I'm sure there's ways to try and squeeze in quicker advances here and there, but for me, the more seasons/games the better!(y)

    Fantastic!

Been a very busy last couple of months for me. I'm looking forward to things settling down and getting back into a league.

    Thanks, Keller :)

Ideas for a league name. I'm going to try and get Drifterbub or Shaun Mason to put up a poll for us and have everyone vote in this thread. Then ask the admins to create our Forum area based on that.

    1) Total Simulation Football League - TSFL
    2) Total Control Football League - TCFL
    3) Front Office Simulation League - FOSL

New to the forums and hoping to join this league. Is the team list above still accurate in terms of openings?

unfortunately it isn't - I'm working on updating it. Right now the Raiders are 100% open for the taking however. Other teams are pending conversations/signups/applications etc.

Thanks for the update. I'll take the Raiders! If other teams become available that are pending right now, I'd potentially be interested in switching, but just want to be a part of the league.
