New Member Carolinaeasy Name: Eric Age: 27 Gamertag/PSN (please state whether its PS or XBOX): escaife58 (PSN) Email: email@example.com AIM: I do not use AIM Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time General Availability: Nights after 9, Weekends by appointment Favorite Teams: Penn State, Clemson, South Carolina How did you hear about Tradition Football: I saw a post by Rynoaid on Operation Sports, and saw the positive responses so I meandered over here to check it out and found what I have wanted for a long time. 1. Have you ever played in any online leagues? What kind (NCAA, Madden, Forza, NBA, etc)? Where? Yes, Madden 09, and NCAA 09. I was also on an Xbox 360 madden 07 league back when there were no online dynasties. We posted stats and game results online and even did scouting reports. The league folded after a few months but it was a blast, and I have been wanting that level of commitment ever since. 2. How long have you been playing video games? How long have you been playing online? I have been playing since NHL 94 on the Sega Genesis. I have been online since Halo in 04 or 05. 3. What type of player would you say you are? Very sim oriented as you will see below in my description. I like to run first, and heavily. However I also like to spread the ball around on quick passes and run the option. I guess you could say the “Spread HD” is my style of play. 4. Our community consists of a more mature bunch and the average age is somewhere around 28-30 years old. How do you feel about any differences or similarities between our population and your age? I feel playing with dedicated players of my own age will be a great pleasure, and should help bring out the best in this game. 5. Have you read the rules and general gameplay guidelines? Any questions or concerns? Yes I have read them, and I have one concern. I tend to run one form or another of Cover 3 nearly 90% of the time. This is not a cheese, or a gimmick it is simply what I feel comfortable running. This is realistic as Penn State runs Cover 3 on nearly every play, I understand the guidelines here and will try and move out of my comfort zone and expand my play calling. This is only something I read and said to myself "This is something I will have to work on" 6. Please tell us a little about yourself. We want to get to know you and hope that you will be around for a long time. I have been involved in football for the past 15 years. I played middle school, high school (captain), college (captain), and now I coach high school football as an offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. I also actively blog on a popular Penn State football blog Blackshoediaries.com I understand the techniques each player employs. I understand the design of plays, how to gameplan, and how to carry that gameplan out. I play these video games as a mind numbing experience to relax and get away from the real world for an hour or two, I hope to combine my knowledge of the game, with my hope for escape so that I can enjoy online again. 7. How active do you plan on becoming with the TF community? I usually kill a half an hour or so a day at work during my break online, so I would like to be a consistent contributor and active member. Maybe even comish a league someday. 8. What do you hope to get out of being a member at TF? To actually enjoy an online experience again, I usually play offline because of the cheesers and poor sports. 9. Situation: You are participating in a league game when your opponent clearly breaks the league or site rules. What do you do? How do you handle the situation? First and foremost I will keep a cool head. Getting mad and doing something out of anger will only serve to make the situation worse. I will ask the person if they are aware of our rule that is in question. Maybe he forgot, if he/she shows indifference then I will continue the game, and attempt to stop the ability for the rule to be broken, finish the game and capture the video highlights. Then I will refer to the boards, to see what course of action, if any, needs to be taken. This can be handled quietly and efficiently so that it does not become a story. 10. Have you checked out the different leagues here at TF? Have you seen anything that you want to be a part of? Yes, I like the Evolution. The idea of building up a team from scratch. I would love to struggle to recruit a team that I want, and have to adjust my game planning to the strengths, and weaknesses of my players. I also wouldn’t mind a good Big Ten league either, would love to play as my Nittany Lions.
