New Rule going forward and Restarts...

I am taking this from the other thread to make it more visible hence people won't say I didn't see it.

Regarding restarts.....I want to keep them at a minimum. Please try your hardest to keep it clean and if there is contact between 2 racers i want to keep racing. I think contact that involves 3 or more on the 1st lap can be considered. Being involved means your car was physically damaged. Avoiding a crash does not apply. Accidents are part of racing whether u like it or not.

The RULE I would like to implement is if there is a blatant driving mistake and a driver take someone out due to careless driving the driver will receive no points for the race and receive an 8th place finish. Also the person will be start last on the next race's Starting Grid.

I think that is a fair rule and should keep the careless driving to a minimum. I would want full honesty in the driver at fault to admit the mistake and take blame.

I want mistakes that take innocent racers out of races to have consequences.

    Procedures to make the decision:

First off please continue to race and try to finish after accidents. If you car is unable to be repaired then fine you can inform us that your car is incapacitated and then wait in the lobby.. I don't want people quiting because they were spun out. This will not help your case at all.

If a driver feels he is victim to careless driving and the drivers can't come to a mutual decision. Then he must inform me to save the replay and I will review the incident. A decision will be made with discussion from 2-3 non involved drivers.

let me know what you think.

And like I said in the other thread:

I'm all for that rule but the replay should be seen so. Decision can be made. Sure the guy that gets taken out is gonna be pissed and might make things more serious than it is like the ryno incident last year.

    To Basis:
As far as this incident, I wasn't being careless. I wasnt trying to over take you on that hair pin. You simply slowed down more than I expected you to and you got spun.

I see the point and it makes sense however say a second place car was chasing and catching the leader and he gets accidentally hit etc etc his car is wrecked and replay is watched and the driver behind was at fault and docked points that's ok but what about the driver that instead of maybe winning gets no points at all ?

    Just a question

I would think the guy that got spun would take his normal finishing place. Shit happens in racing being the main point. I left you a reply in the other thread Casino.

What are you talking about? I said it was on the first lap?

Anyway, I'm done beating a dead horse. You either get the point or you don't, it really doesn't matter one way or the other.

    See you guys next Weds.!

you guys ever think about using the rule from horse racing? basically if you think there's an incident keep racing. then review the tape at the end of the race. if a foul was committed the two drivers swap places in the finishing order.

the swaping places is a decent idea. Hopefully this rule wont have to be enforced.

Yep good shout Bly. I too hope this never has to happen. I would also just like to say with the different views that people use sometimes things can look bad but when you see things from that particular drivers view its different I have had a few like that. I also think sometimes things do happen but we have to keep in mind we don't have anyone that wrecks people on purpose etc. I know I am too timid on track but it keeps my car in 1 piece I see that a 2nd/3rd or even 4th is better than nothing lmao. I am just too nice however if you leave me that inside line I will gladly accept it even if it is the last turn of the last lap :D.

Del I have to get on you about the passing wrecked cars thing.

You see in the Tradition we're striving for realism. We sometimes call it "sim."

As in, he's a sim player or he's not a sim player.

Luckily this is a physics-based game, so aside from glitching an advantage on an S5 or whatever, everybody has an equal chance (so long as they're using the clutch).

It is NOT sim to slow down when other people wreck! This is a race! You would never see that in a real race bro!

In the case of Steve I know he's your bud and you wanted to defend him when he got wrecked or whatever (if you don't understand what I'm talking about guys, just ignore) but that should be done verbally or afterwards.

I don't know if this makes me a bad guy or whatever, but there's no better feeling than seeing two cars get into it and give me a chance to fly right through. If I slow down, again, I'm just adding to the confusion! and it's not realistic in any way, no racer worth his salt would ever turn down a better position in the race.
