    NFC Championship: Niners 31 - Falcons 13

The story of this battle for the NFC title was once again SF's defense, as it has been for most of the year. Despite QB Nate Davis throwing 5 int's, SF was able to pick 4 off themselves, and hold Atlanta to just one offensive touchdown. Third downs were crucial as the Falcons were only able to complete 2 of 9.

The Niners deferred to the second half and were able to force Atlanta to punt on their first possession. SF opened up the scoring with a 33yd TD run from RB Donald Brown. Atlanta answered with one of two Elam field goal's. Due to the int fest, the second quarter was just an exchange of field goals. 10-6 Niners at the break.

In the second half, the only scoring being done was by SF. The first TD came on a 46yd pass from Nate Davis to WR Mike Thomas and the second on a 3yd run by Erik Pollard. The 4th quarter saw a TD from each team, RB's Michael Turner and Donald Brown. Final score Niners 31 Falcons 13.
