24 - 21 Giants have been one of the most inconsistent teams through 4 weeks into the season. They just lost a tough one last week in KC and are now looking to rebound versus a high powered offense and overall hot team in division foe Philly. The Eagles have played a near perfect season. 4-0 to start... Shady McCoy and crew have turned heads out of the gate. There new 3-4 Defense has also showed that there ready to cause a stir in the NFL. The Giants started with the ball and came out strong moving the ball methodically down the field. Slow starts have kept the GMen from being consistent this season. Capitalizing in the redzone has also been another issue...today it didnt change. After moving the ball 60yds into enemy territory, Eli manning gave the ball away as OLB Mychal Kendricks jumped an out route. This showed a moment of "here we go again" as it clearly took the wind out of the Giants sail. The Eagles came right back and scored to go up 7-0. The Giants would trail the whole 1st half. Nick Foles and Shady McCoy kept the Giants D off balanced and guessing. But...and yes theres a but. Regardless on the early mishaps people still rely on Eli...as they should. He kept the Giants in the game as he started to get in tune with his playmakers. The Giants defense also stepped up as they were able to keep there team in striking distance going into the second half. David Wilson would continue his dominance on the ground and give the Giants the balance they needed to disrupt the Philly D. The Giants would hang behind the Eagles for more than 3qtrs. After every score the Eagles would counter back with a score of there own. The Giants would continue to mix the pass and pound the rock. Wilson would pump out 102yds on the ground with a score but he wouldnt be the game changer. Newly aqcuired CB Byron Maxwell who was claimed off waivors found his spot on D. He would pick off Nick Foles twice on the day, the second one setting up the game winning FG late in the 4th. Well fought game by 2 blood hungry squads. GMen see da Bears next week. GG Zo. Always a battle.
