    NFC Playoff Clinching Scenarios

    UPDATED 1-6-10

    X-Clinched Playoffs
    Z-Clinched Division
    Y-Clinched 1st Round Bye

    1. X-New York Giants (13-2) - The Cowboys keep winning to keep putting pressure on the Giants. NYG must win in Week 17 to clinch a bye.
    2. Z-Vikings (13-2) - Need to win in Week 17 to clinch a bye.
    3. Z-Seattle Seahawks (11-3) - Big loss by the Vikes gives them hope for a bye. . .now need Vikings and Cowboys to lose 1 each. If that happens and they win out they get the bye.
    4. Z-Atlanta Falcons (10-5) - They are locked into the #4 spot.
    5. X-Dallas Cowboys (11-3) - Cowboys STILL have a shot at a bye. Just need to win and have a Giants loss.
    6. X-Philadelphia Eagles (10-5) - They are locked into the #6 spot.

    STILL MATHEMATICALLY ALIVE

No way for my Rams to sneak in? Hmmmmm... lol. Looks like its' going to be a very interesting time. I'm a real life Eagles' fan so I'm rooting for them I guess. If they can't make it Go Seahawks bring some pride to the division.

Me too. Can't wait to retool my defense and overhaul the offense. I need playmakers on both sides of the ball at skill positions.

I wouldn't say they have the tiebreaker.. I have the tiebreaker. You should say "due to EA's lazyness to add real life tiebreakers, Eagles would luckly get in if they finish the year tied with the Panthers. DAMN YOU EA. DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL.

Just to clarify a little bit about playoff matchups. They do use the correct format. In the NFC, the #3 seeded Seahawks would travel to #2 Minnesota in the divisional round if they defeat the #6 Eagles. If the #6 Eagles win, they would automatically go to #1 NY Giants in the divisional round. #4 and #5 winner plays the other remaining team who had the bye. At least EA got that correct, this happened in the 4th and 1 league.

Just an example, I know all these teams aren't locked into their seeds just yet.

We have a big game next week as the Giants travel to Minnesota. The winner gets home field advantage.
