Well, we have a thread for college, so we might as well have one for NFL.

I'm in a survival pool run through the bowling alley I work at. 10 bucks a person. 22 teams. Picked Houston week 1 (only person to pick em). So far, not a bad pick whatsoever.

How does the survival pool work exactly?

Bengals down 14-13 at half to the Browns. Andy Dalton starting his NFL career off ok. 10-15 for 80 something yards and a TD.

You pick one team a week to win. They win, you advance. They lose, you're out. You can't pick the same team multiple times.

I'm on the verge of pulling out a narrow fantasy football victory in week 1 behind the beast mode play of Ray Rice.

I'm up 91.9 to 91.3. He has nobody to play Monday, while I have a kicker. I'm benching my kicker to secure the win.

LOL, why was everyone so confident that the Bengals would lose to them? Come on, my team isnt that good but the Browns are pretty terrible themselves. The obvious choice was Houston beating Indy without Manning. No brainer, IMO.

Usually you want to get your bad team picks out early over bad teams, because later in the season you may have to choose an upset. Houston should actually win that division and should be a good pick to win in the future.

That division is awful. Houston is 9-7 at best, so not a top flight team by any means. People in my survivor league went with New England already (3 of em).

But also, you may want to pick bad teams early, but why would you pick a game that's basically even? Stupidity.

I think Houston could be as high as 11-5, they have a great chance to go 6-0 in the division alone.

That catch CJ made was unbelievable. My dad and I both started yelling when he caught it.
