I realize I'm late to this thread, but w/e. I'm a season ticket holder for the Grand Rapids Griffins, and I go to 9 Red Wings games a year, die-hard fan of both. Favorite players of all time are Yzerman, Bobby Probert, and Shawn Burr.
Haha. I don't even have a #2 for Hockey. I guess my #2 will be whomever I end up with in the THL, I'm 100% certain I wont get my Wings. I'm an old school Norris division fan, so his #2 could be worse, could be Leafs, Hawks, or Blues. Or almost as bad, Avalanche.
I'm not a Vancouver fan, per se. I've been a Sedin twins fan since before they were drafted. Same goes for Kesler. When you have 3 players you're a big fan of, you find yourself following that team.
No shit. I grew up down the street from Kesler in Livonia. Although, he went to the other High School we used to play street hockey together as kids. He was 2 years younger than me and a boss on the streets.
I've been a die hard Pens since 91. So I got to enjoy seeing Lemieux and Jagr play but that came at a price with the late 90's early 00's with players like Morozov/Fata/Naslund . I've also had season tickets for the Fighting Saints every year since they were moved back into the USHL.
Rob Zombie is directing a movie about the 70's Broad Street Bullies. He has only done horror in the past, but is a hockey fan. Should be cool.
Really? Sounds awesome. I must say that even though I don't think his movies are the best ever or anything, they are good and enjoyable, so hopefully this movie gets made.
The NY Rangers are my favorite team. I've always been a Knicks and Yankees fan, but I started following hockey when the Rangers made their run in 94.
Is this the last time the Flyers were relevant ? They did score 118 points though the following season, then got swept in the Finals by Montreal.
Best thing to happen to Pittsburg lately was the opening of Pure Hockey. A company that started as a small hockey store in Worcester. If anyone is actually playing, i highly recommend stopping in. Some hockey guy stopped in the new store in Pittsburg.
Hey hey hey...we made one of the worst Stanley Cup appearances of all time against Detroit in 1997. But I'll take getting past the first round of the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years with a Finals appearance over being the league door mat.
