No Cameron in the 4th? Louisiana Tech's quarterback Cameron has apparently blown one too many games this season in the 4th quarter. The following is quoted from the Louisiana Tech coach following yet another close loss accredited to poorly thrown balls in the 4th quarter: "We have firmly supported Cameron all season and he has really put on some great stats for us. We have even had a couple of big wins against Boise State and Nevada under his watch as QB. But, we also can't overlook his 4th quarter performance in games as of late. We are going to go with our backup in the 4th quarter for our last game.. and hopefully our bowl game if we are able to get win and get a bowl bid." Cameron leads the NCAA in passing yards with 4,271. He has 30 touchdown completions, but also has 24 interceptions and has been sacked 25 times this season. He threw 4 interceptions against Auburn, 2 against Fresno State, 2 against Utah State, and 4 against Mississippi State in his last 4 complete games. He spent a major portion of the game against Hawaii on the bench with an injury. His backup is a redshirt freshman named Taylor Burch. He is seen as a significant drop-off in all of throwing power, accuracy, speed, and experience. But, the LA Tech coaching staff still feels that something must be done to try to keep the season from completely slipping away in game 12 against the winless San Jose State team.
