Does the news that the Infinity Engine will NOT be in NCAA hurt your interest in the game at all?

For me, it does a little, but I think if they can improve on what they did last year, the game will still be really good.

Nope, still buying day 1 like every year.

They have made plenty of progress for me to be very excited about this years edition.

EDIT: Although, to say I am not a tad disappointed that those new physics won't be in NCAA would be a lie. I expect it to be in the next release.

Honestly it does, but I've played NCAA '13, it is a good game and I have a good league to enjoy the game with.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I mean I was and still am super excited about NCAA 13'. I was a little more excited before the Infinity news came out, but, it should still be a really good game. Also, being in a league with some great owners only makes the game better.

Next year, I'm sure it will have the Infinity Engine and then we'll be in Football Heaven!

    Yep.

They've already stated that Infinity Engine will be in next year.

    Very nice.

Should be a fun couple of years.

I wonder how all this will transition into the next generation of consoles? Will it take them 3 or 4 years to "get it right" like they did for this generation?

Next generation will see a different transition plan than this generation, I've specifically asked the question.

What's this "Infinity" engine supposed to allow?

Hopefully this means it will be like what 2K did on their first 360 games - took the PS2 games and upped the graphics and kept most of the features.

thing is, this might be the more polished game of the 2. sucks its not in, but maybe will have less issues so to speak. ill guess its a wait and see. im still pumped for both games this year for once.

Not too upset, I would much rather have Madden tinker with a new game engine than have NCAA do it. It is also probable a safer move to have one game with and one game without the infinity engine.

imo NCAA played better than Madden last year.

I think that's also part of the reasoning for waiting until 14' to add Infinity.

I remember when NHL went to their new physics engine, the first year was very transitional. A lot of minor issues that hindered gameplay. I'm okay with NCAA not having it the first year since it's quite possible there might be some issues with it.

I played both lay night and both games are very very different in the way they feel and look. This is a good thing. I am excited about both.

I tend to agree. It was close though. I think Madden did some things better and NCAA did some things better. If the Infinity Engine is smooth and relatively bug free, the potential is obviously there for madden to have a definite overall gameplay advantage this year.

It's very smooth. Still some bugs, but the M13 team has a good two months to lock it down.

This is exactly how I am feeling-- although I know Madden made some epic strides it seems, NCAA is still going to be a nice final product imo that will (as it should) be one of the best in a long while.
