North Texas loses today at Troy and more than likely loses its bowl chances.
    C. Robinson of Troy lit up the NT defense with 488 yards passing on 48 attempts and 7 tds. Troy showed no mercy while passing late into the 4th quarter to give Robinson the school record for yards in a game. Troy is alone in first place of the Sun Belt division and looks for an easy ride to win out.

North Texas showed grit today being down the whole game and fighting to make a game out of it. First string qb Dodge and 2nd string qb Baine combined with 449 yards in the air to make the game respectable. The defensive secondary is what let the Mean Green down today. D. McCord, a starting corner, was quoted, "Those dem receivers are fast. McCord can't catch dem."

Coach Scott Henry was seen drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon on the sidelines and rumors are that Coach Scott has signed a deal with Pabst to be thier spokesman if his coaching career is done in college football.

The North Texas Mean Green (4-6) face off with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (5-5) in next weeks action.
