Claim - not sure of records
american league gets dibs so its kind of useless to claim him as an NL team
What is this ?
Post Trade Deadline Waive to Trade rules:
1) Create a thread in this forum with the player's position and full name as the title
2) URL link the player in the body of the post
All W-to-T waivers are assumed to be auto-pullback. If you want to relinquish your rights to the player, this is the wrong way to waive a guy. For those, just waive them in-game.
The player is on W-to-T waivers for 24 hours from the time of posting. Teams wanting to place a claim should reply to the post as such. No additional posts should be made in the waive thread!
Waiver claim position is determined by record on Aug 1 when the non-waiver Trade Deadline passes. The worse your record, the higher your claim position. Tiebreakers: 1) Games back 2) Pyth Rec 3) Last 10
Placing a claim on a player will move the claiming team to the bottom of the Waiver Claim Order list, regardless of whether or not the claim is won.
Once the 24 hour period has expired, the owner with the highest waiver claim position has won the claim and has another 24 hours to negotiate a trade with the player's owner.
Players with minor league contracts and not on the 40-man do not need to clear W-to-T waivers to be traded. Any other player to be included in a W-to-T trade must also clear W-to-T waivers in the same time frame.
Once awarded a player from a W-to-T transaction, the claiming team assumes all contract responsibilities of said player.
Players acquired after 9/1 will not be playoff eligible
Players can not be W-to-T waived more than once by the same team in the same season
basically you want to claim this guy so he doesnt end up on the Tigers
so did I win or did the BRewers?
raji said american league gets dibs on american league players.
Correct. That is the MLB rule.
What if you were in the American league at one point????
