I always wonder if it has something to do with the fact that Footy is a worldwide project with a million leagues and divisions to deal with, vs the seemingly much simpler task of one league per game. Maintaing the updates and stats for thousands of players is probably overwhelming. I see PES in my not to distant future. Feels like EA are somewhat losing interest in this series because it always seems to be behind the N.American sports franchise games.
It would be exactly the same amount of info they already have for careers, just made so that people can connect to the same career and have multiple coaches in that career. It's not that much more work, it's just having the servers and making sure it doesn't crash. They wouldn't be updating on the career, they'd just have a basic progression programmed. I disagree with you completely on the last point. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) FIFA is the #1 selling ea game in the world. I don't feel like they're more behind madden or NCAA than FIFA. Especially NCAA
I'm in for season 3 League choice: i'm good with any League Schedule: Mon- Wed 6-10EST, weekends pre-scheduled Manual level: 6-7
FIFA behind Madden? No way mate! Football (soccer for you guys) is a worldwide sport unlike your football. Fifa you will find it n every store around the world! In Germany I had troubles getting Madden, and they dont even sell it for WII U. Same thing with the NCAA game, they just dont bring it here . I am not sure about the numbers, but I am pretty sure FIFA is one of the most played games in the world.
Out.. Wish I could roll but it's not fair to my opponent when I'm on once a week. My 2 cents though, Ligue 1 is by far the most balanced big league. Other than PSG, there are about 10-12 teams that are about equal.
FIFA is miles above any other sports game worldwide and miles isn't doing it justice. People need to learn that UT is a huge draw and deal with it. FIFA has some very cool online features that no other sports game has. Connected Careers isn't coming anytime soon but that's ok.. It's still so much better than any game out there.
True, but i'm speaking in terms of game development, rather than general accumilation of sales. Oh and by the way, it's Footy for me as well. Born and bread in her majesty's kingdom. ..... well, half bread. Came over when i was 14.
I would gladly do away with a bunch of the other stuff if it meant getting connected careers. I mean c'mon, live seasons for crying out loud? Are you serious man? What a waste of space. Do that many people really and truly care about that mode? They may as well do away with the manual lobby as well. It's pretty much useless now that you can't play ranked matches. I think the most i've seen in that lobby is about 4 people. I mean, this is just me....I'd rather just get on with it and play a match, so things like them challenges where you join a real life scenario in the 70th minute and try to create a different ending are a waste of time.
You'd be surprised. The amount of people that use Live Seasons frequently is probably more than the amount of people that would use a CCM function frequently. Yeah, it would obviously be great for guys like us. But the amount of leagues that would start and then just sit inactive on the server after the first month the game is out probably isn't worth it to them yet when they have thousands of people playing Ultimate Team and seasons daily.
Top 3 League Preferences - EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga Schedule - Random, available most days after 1 EST Manual Skill Level - 7
yep, I could completely see this happening. However, i'm sure they could implement some sort of rule with an inactivity timeline. If the league is in-active for two weeks, then it gets automatically erased.
UT is a huge draw because its the closest thing to connected careers that you have. You play and earn points (a budget) to buy the players you want to put on your team and play other people's teams. More points are needed to buy the best players. You can't just say "everyone plays UT" until you put the mode in and see if that continues to be the case because I bet it won't be. How many more people have started to buy NCAA and Madden since these modes were made. I know that almost everyone who buys NCAA now buys it strictly for online dynasty. I don't play any other game modes on that entire game other than online dynasty. I am almost positive Fifa would end up similar. Yes a lot of people play seasons but that's because that's about your only option for online play unless you want to go into ultimate team and deal with people with 100% speed boosts so their players are running as fast as cheetahs all over the place. They really limited the options you have for online play and that is why seasons and ultimate team get so much action, simply because there aren't many more options.

I would like to start the team draft on Thursday this week and have divisions decided and what not. We currently have 13 confirmed. If 7 more confirm we can do two leagues of 10. At 5 more we may do 2 leagues of 8 and have a super short Season 3 to allow a shorter window before season 4. Thanks Scott
LOL. I was just searching everywhere for this thread to get the link. Turns out it's in the 'CUP' section rather than 'League'. Well thrown off.
I'm confirming my interest in Season 3. Top 3 League Preferences: MLS, Brazilian, Mexican (I also think picking teams from any league would be great as long as they are 3 or 3.5 stars) Schedule: Weekday Nights, Every other weekend Manual Skill Level 5/6
I think they were expecting a bit more than "im in man" ! League preference? Level? And theres an option for another experimental league if you didnt see it.
