Going into the offseason, Dallas had 2 positions they were targeting to improve: CB and OL, specifically LG.
The CB need was filled by FA J. McCourty while the OL need was filled thru the draft with converted LG S. Reyes. In week 1, vs the Colts and A. Luck, both of those players played key roles.

    J. McCourty contributed to a defensive effort that held Luck to just 112yds passing, 0 TDs and 5 INTs. Two of those courtesy of McCourty. Two others were made by his partner in crime, CB C. Mullins. On offense, HB D. Murray had 149yds and 2 TDs thanks to the huge openings provided by his OL, led by Reyes who was credited with 7 pancake blocks to lead all lineman.

Despite these performances, coach Moe refused to show any excitement. "It's way too early in the season. This win is nice. It was a solid, all around team effort. But we now have to get ready for the Giants", a team the Cowboys have only beaten once in 4 seasons.

Can the new additions continue to play at this level? Stay tuned...
