AGREED TRADE FORUM (link) OK, guys. Eddie and I had a long discussion regarding the trades being made before the offseaon is officially upon us. We want you guys to be involved with your roster management which includes being able to make trades (ourselves included). However, it's difficult to trade at this point of the season because we truly do not know what each player's overall rating will be until the online franchise is advanced to the draft phase. Our main concern is this... We don't want guys to agree to a trade, but then have one owner back out of the deal once the league is advanced to the draft phase because they didn't realize their player was going to progress (or regress) to a certain value. We want owners to take responsibility and ownership for their agreed trade(s). Another concern is that some owners are making trades that involve players that may progress beyond the 90ovr BLOCKBUSTER threshold. This would potentially void any other BLOCKBUSTER deal that the owner is involved with (if any). We need to ensure that timestamps are applied to any trades so that we can determine which trade was agreed to first in case something like this were to occur. We also need to be able to take inventory of picks that are being used in multiple deals. Some owners may lose track of the picks they actually have in their possession. No, we don't expect this to happen, but it has and it can. With that said, Eddie and I have decided it would be better to open the forum for trade agreements to be posted at this time in order to lock in any deals that have already been made. Consider it a security blanket for the owners AND the staff. It provides an opportunity for the owners to make their commitment, and it provides an opportunity for the league to pre-review the trades that are in process. Now, if you've made a deal we are asking that you post the trade agreement with the player name, player position, and draft pick(s) involved ONLY. Refrain from posting any overall numbers. Also, there CANNOT be any special terms involving the player's overall rating (i.e. Both owners agree that if Player A regresses below 80ovr that the trade is void, or both owners agree that if Player B progresses above 85ovr that additional compensation C will be required). The reason for this is because some trades incorporate a player/pick that was received in another trade. If the "conditional" trades were allowed and called off as a result of the void terms, it would create a domino effect with any other trades involved. I know there is a lot to digest here, and I hope it all makes sense. If not, feel free to ask questions. Otherwise, without further adieu, please commence posting your trades in the trade forum accordingly... Good luck and have fun! REMINDER: FOUR TRADES are allowed per season which includes ONE BLOCKBUSTER (90+ovr rated player involved, from any team, regardless of being sent or received) if you choose to make a blockbuster trade. SILVER and GOLD MEMBERS are allowed to make one bonus trade totalling FIVE TRADES allowed per season - also inclusive of any blockbuster trade.
