Coach Parrothead looked to avenge a prior loss against Coach MaxATX34 when both were in the Pac 12. Coach Parrothead has since moved on to the Big Ten and Ohio State, but this one would mean just as much as any conference game.

Both teams were a little lackluster on offense at first, with some small drives being put into play in the first quarter. Each would end with a punt, leaving the game tied at 0 at the end of the first quarter.

The beginning of the second quarter would see points get put on the board. Just 41 seconds in, Utah HB Lucky Radley would plunge right up the middle and run 53 yards to put the Utes up 7-0. Ohio State would answer with a nice drive, but stall in the red zone. After kicking the FG, it was 7-3 Utah with 4:24 to go in the half. Utah would drive the field and get set up with a first and goal on the 1 with under 2 minutes to go. After a couple of nice stops, HB Harvey Langi would run through a gaping hole to make it 14-3, and the half would come to an end.

Ohio State received to start the game, so they'd be kicking off to start the second half. After a quick 3 and out, Ohio State would get the ball and get a HUGE break. On the Utah 24, QB Braxton Miller put one up for WR Don Heinz. Only Miller didn't see the Ute defender back there in the end zone! The defender would go up for the pick, only to have it clang off his hands of steel and fall into the hands of Heinz. Touchdown, Buckeyes! It's now 14-10 Utah. The Utes would get a good drive going, but get stuffed inside the 10 and settle for a FG of their own. 17-10 Utah, and the third quarter would come to an end.

Just over a minute into fourth quarter, speedy WR Ty Williams would be found streaking down the middle of the field for a 53 yard TD (as a side note, if that ball got there a split second later, the safety would have knocked it harmlessly away). This would tie the game up at 17, and the Buckeye defense finally came to life. With Utah in the red zone, Doran Grant would pick off a pass the end zone. After a couple of big pass plays, HB Rod Smith would find the end zone on a 7 yard run. Ohio State takes the lead for the first time in the game, making the score 24-17 with 3:12 left. Utah would start a drive to try to tie the score, but Robert Clancy would end it a couple plays in with the Buckeye's third INT of the day. At that point, the Buckeyes just ran out the clock to come away with the win.

Ohio State has a bye in week 3 before playing host to Mississippi State.

    GG, Max.
