[IMG]The Cowboys came into this game as the underdog. But from kcikoff, you could tel something was different about this team. Their D played with fire and passion, and the offense looked as if they were on a mission from God.

OK State got on the board early in the first. Running back Jeremy Smith took the sweep from the Wild Bronco and took it 47 yards to the house. The cowboys had a three headed monster today in the backfield, which helped them chew clock and take the pressure off Blackmon and Weeden. OK State would add a field goal later in the quarter.

After the Cowboys defense stood tall and forced a three and out, they went to work on offense. After five consecutive runs, the ball was finaly taken into the endone by sophomore Joseph Randle for a 3 yard touchdown run. On the ensuing drive for OU, however, they would get one back. Sooner running back Roy Finch took a handoff and broke a few tackles and took it 75 yards for a touchdown, bringing them within 10. Finch would only gain 14 yards the rest of the day as the Cowboy run defense was nasty today. After a few three and outs, OK State would drive the ball and put up a field goal to end the half.

To start the third, Sooner qb Landry Jones would get the offense in groove. He threw a little slant to Ryan Broyles who turned on the jets and took it 70 yards for a touchdown, making it 20-14. The Sooners would get the ball back off an INT. They drove the ball all the way down to the 10 yard line. LAndry Jones threw up a pass and it was picked off by Senior saftey Johnny Thomas and it was taken back 100 yards for a touchdown! OU would respond. They drove the field and scored off a 49 yard pass from Jones to Stills. The Cowboys would add a field goal late in the quarter.

With just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter, OSU got the ball back. On the first play of the drive running back Jeremy Smith fumbled the ball and it was picked up and taken back to the house by Gabe Lynn, which brought the Sooners within 2. After a stalled drive by the Cowboys, the Sooners would drive the field and tack on 3 to put them up by 1 point. So with just under 4 minutes left, Weeden and the Cowboys got the ball back and went to work. The highlight of the march was a deep route to Blackmon for 52 yards to set the Cowboys up with first and goal. They would run down the clock and call a timeout with just 4 seconds left. After OU tried to ice the kicker, Sharp walked out there with the weight of 70,000 fans and his brothers hopes on his foot. He blasted it through the uprights to give the Cowboys a 2 point lead with just 00:01 second remaining. OU tried to pitch it back off the squib but it was no use, as the Cowboys swarmed them to secure the victory.

"I was so nervous! Im just glad I made it!" Sharp said after the game. When Johnny Thomas was asked about the win he said "Its such a great feeling. Our defense played great the whole game, and I dont even remember my play. Its a blur."

This was a great end to the regular season for OK State. They will finish 3rd in the Big 12 and should be looking at a decent bowl game.
