The 2017 version of the Oklahoma Sooners features just six seniors but plenty of talent to contend again for the Big XII championship. After relieving an ineffective joe Frederick at last season's mid point, Mike Stewart is now the full-fledged starter. The normally run-oriented Sooners figure to throw the ball more in 2017 because of the most talented wide receiving corp in the Coach Tuco era. WR Darnell Johnson may not post All-American stats, but is a talented as any wideout in the country. A year after a devasting injury that forced him to miss eight games, Corny Turner is now entrenched as starting running back. Expect Turner to get the customary 1500 yards as the Sooners running back.
