Just wondering what the roster situation is going to be
What do you mean?
Are we going to be using default numbered rosters? Or is there a roster file we can all agree on and use?
We will be using a named roster file. There is one that i believe is used pretty much universally in the premiere leagues. We can just use that one. As far as I know none of the ratings have been changed but all players have been named and are accurate to the best of my knowledge.
Things to vote on before we start playing
I need to get two more guys to fill this up, but for now there are a few things we can discuss to make sure we are all on the same page.
1. Quarter Length?
The other two leagues I'm in use 8 minute quarters because of the clock run off in this years version. I'm ok with 7 minutes or 8 minutes. We can all vote on it. I'll reserve my vote until everyone else has voted.
2. Notre Dame to the Big East?
Yankeery25 wants to be Notre Dame. I told him that was ok, but he would need to be in the Big East. He said he would prefer to stay as an independent. We can also vote on that. Do you think Notre Dame should be in the Big East with 5 other guys, or should they be able to stay independent? I'll make sure they get the same amount of user games as everyone else.
3. Team Selection
here is what we would have based on everyone's short list
bawu97 West Virginia confirmed
badabing319 Syracuse confirmed
thedeafpoliceman Pittsburgh confirmed
yankeery25 Notre Dame confirmed
BDSDIGITAL Tennessee confirmed
tretrain26 LSU confirmed
dresmithjr Georgia confirmed
mboda Auburn confirmed
homelessskittles Arkansas confirmed
Bingarosso Rutgers confirmed
TEClemson53 Florida confirmed
Please just ya or nay your team here. If you want to switch that's totally fine. I'll choose last after everyone else gets a team they want. Make sure it's a team that you'll have fun with that you want to use.
4. League Name
I'm not the most creative guy around so if you have an idea for a league name lay it on me!
So....what says you to all of this?
also, please do me a big favor and post your gamertag here if you don't mind. I'll start sending friend requests tonight.
zero, not an o
1. I'd prefer 7 but either 7 or 8 works
2. I would recommend the move, I wouldn't want anybody in the Independents
3. looks good I'll stick with Pitt
4. don't ask me on that one it's pretty irrelevant to me
2.) Move ND to the BE
3.) Let's go Eers - Ill stick with WVU
4.) Doesnt matter to me! maybe Big East/SEC Challenge
2.) I think the move is a good idea.
3.) Geaux Bayou Bengals!
4.) Definitely the wrong person to ask that one...
1) 8 minutes
2) I'd prefer to be independent
3) Notre Dame!
4) The Overtime? or The East Coast? The East Coast Challenge?
Do you happen to know the name of that roster set? I'd like to download it and use it offline as well to get a head start on roster decisions.
Also, I have read the rules and understand them...
1) 7 minute quarters (OK with either)
2) Independent with similar # of user games is OK by me
3) 'Cuse in da house
4) I'll try to think of something creative...
2. Big East... Or make him play as something else, if its a Big East/SEC league then it should be all teams from those 2 conferences
4. Awesome Sauce
yeah it's in my locker. it's named rynoaid
ok man, I'll add you to the league description tomorrow. I'll pass on the awesome sauce though. I think the Big South East or something like that will suffice.
edit: I just had a new member ask for Rutgers. Would you consider moving to the SEC?
Hey I saw that you guys had two openings..They still there?
Well not right now, but if one of the guys bows out I'll let you know.
Where do you stand on persuading players to stay? What restrictions, if any, are on it?
You can persuade anyone you want to stay.
You can not recruit more players than you have openings for. There is a 1 person buffer though.
So for instance: I start with a 68 roster and have 15 seniors on the roster:
70-68 =2 +15 = 17 + 1 buffer is 18. That is how many people you can sign.
Separate names with a comma.
