    Ole Miss year 2

After a bitter sweet finish to last season the ole miss rebels were looking to start off the 2010 campaign like they did last year with a big win over the Iowa Hawkeyes. This year however they would have to go at it with out star QB Jevan Snead as he bolted for the NFL.

The game started with Iowa winning the toss and electing to take the ball. The Hawks were held to a 3 and out and their first series and returned the favor to the ole miss rebels stuffing them on 3 plays. For Iowa's second series they had a lot of sucess through the air on their was to a 16 yard td pass from weinke to djk a. On ole miss next possession they were able to drive the ball down the field. With the help from star rb Brandon bolden who eventually capped the drive with a 35 yard run. This ended the first quarter at 7 to 7

The second quarter was all ole miss as they managed to shut the hawkeyes out for the entire quarter. Ole miss scored on a 107 yard fg return, and on the very next play they picked the ball of and ran it back to the iowa 20. Ole miss managed to find the endzone again with 18 secs left making the score 21-7 at halftime.

The second half was a defense of battle as Iowa only scored 7 points and the rebels only mustered 3. Iowa's came on a 6 yard run by jeff brinson in the third quarter. Ole miss score came on a 19 yard field goal to put them up by ten in the fourth. The rebels sealed the game up when they picked the ball off on the 5 and were able to waste the clock out
