This is our schedule for the offseason. This starts immediately following the OMFL Bowl when it is played: Day 1: Celebrate the OMFL Bowl, get the stats down, and advance. All in one day. Day 2: Teams must list who went up and who went down in overall. Owners must list players who progressed in blue, and who regressed in red. Teams do not need to list salaries, just progression/regression (so list name, position, overall, and color coordinate). During this stage, teams also make their mandatory cuts as well as a cutdown to 48 players (see OMFL rulebook for more details on the offseason process). Teams who do not do this in the 24 hour period will be frozen from bidding on any claims made on FAs in the first 24 hour FA period. No ifs, ands, or buts - NO BIDS YOU MAKE WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE SCHEDULE. Day 3: Cap guys hustle and get books updated and salaries for offseason posted. Cap increase is announced during this time, if any. Modifiers are LOCKED AFTER THIS DAY UNTIL AFTER FA IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Day 4: Forum draft starts, with a leadup to the live draft. The OMFL will have at minimum a 4 round draft with an effort (depending on owners) to get 5 rounds in. NOTE: The day of the live draft and how long the forum draft goes can change depending on how it falls on calendar, since we will try to have most owners be available for the live draft (typically a Sunday evening). Day 5: Cap guys hit the books again with rookie pay scales and adjustments. Day 6,7,8: FA begins. Teams can put claim tags and send in bids per offseason FA rules. FA lasts for 72 hours. Cuts of non-mandatory players can now be made. Day 9: FA freezes; any bids in play continue, NO NEW BIDS allowed. Cap guys refresh books and get final adjustments for upcoming season. Modifiers are UNLOCKED, adjusted, and then RE-LOCKED for ENTIRE SEASON. Day 10: New season begins. This is the way it will roll, folks. Hope you like the schedule.
