    Tennessee vs Florida

    -The Swamp

#25 Tennessee traveled into the humid Swamp Saturday to take on rival and #1 Florida.

Early in the first half, UT did very well controlling the ball and driving into scoring position before David Oku fumbled inside the Florida 15 yard line. The Gators answered quickly with a long field goal to go up 0-3. Most of the first half was a defensive battle until UT's turnover-itis got the best of them.

3 straight possessions, Tyler Bray threw interceptions, one of which went for a pick 6. At half time, the Gators led the Vols, 0-17.

The second half was much better, despite the final score. The Vols replaced Bray with Matt Simms and he threw for 225 yards and 0 touchdowns. However, he did lead the Vols to another field goal as well as a ball that seemed to cross the goal line on the final play of the game. However it was not meant to be. The Vols would fall, 6-24 to the home standing Gators.

If you're looking for a bright spot Vol fans, the offense was clicking in the second half with 0 turnovers. Also, the Vols out gained the Gators in total offense, defensively stuffed the Gators when they did not have a short field, and won the T.O.P. battle. However, the turnovers killed the Vols. You simply can not beat the Gators when you have 4 turnovers, all behind your own 35 yard line.

The Gators won the battle, but this season and this war is far from over.

    #24 Georgia vs Tennessee

    -Knoxville

Tennessee, needed a home win vs #24 in a bad way, and it didn't look as though it would happen...at first. Early in the 1st quarter, Tyler Bray threw a pick and looked to be Florida all over again. However the Vols D was very good on this day it would hold UGA to 3 and them the offense would come right back and score 6. It was a day, minus 2 picks, seemed to go well for Vols on both sides of the ball. They got a stop on 4th and short when UGA was driving, a fumble inside the 20 by AJ Green with the game tight, and Early, the sensational back when out early in the 3rd quarter. Bray was excellent as was the running the game, going for 100 yards in the game.

The Vols took advantage of being to run the ball well and pick up key 3rd downs, and that seemed to keep the UGA offense off the field a majority of the game as the Vols played classic Tennessee football, controlling the clock.

It was a great effort by UGA, but this day, the Vols prevailed 31-19
