OOTP 13 League File Setup and Instructions

Below are instructions for those of you who will be in the OOTP 13 league. T

1. Download the league file from here:

2. Extract to your OOTP Saved Games folder. (Documents>OOTP>OOTP12>Saved Games YOu may need a program that can extract tar.gz files. I recommend 7zip

3. The folder will be named The Dugout . If the folder DOES NOT have the extension .lg at the end, please right click, rename and add .lg to the end. The folder should read The Dugout.lg

Documents>Out of the Park Developments>OOTP 13>Saved Game> Should read The Dugout.lg and should be a folder

4. Go into this folder, and if there is not a settings folder create one. (Right Click>New Folder>Settings)

5. Each of you will receive an email with a file labeled accountsdata_gms.dat place this file in your settings folder.

6. Start OOTP. Load The Dugout. Go to the Game menu (beside manager menu), click online league settings, click import account data file. Select the file from your settings folder. (Select the file from your Documents>Out of the Park Developments>OOTP 13>Saved Game> The Dugout.lg>Settings) When complete click check data file. It should say success or something similar. Then click save and close.


7. Once Complete, you can now begin playing. Once you have made all of your changes, click Manager Home, and you will see Export Team via FTP. Export your file and you are complete for that sim.

8. Once the sim is complete (I will announce it), you will go back into the Manager Home and check for updated league files. They will download and will be automatically installed.

9. Repeat steps 7-8 each sim.

10. Have fun!

When will the new file be up? It says OOTP 13 but it looks like the 12 test link. thanks!

That is actually the link for the '13 test file. We are making sure everything works smoothly, draft, offseason, waivers, etc before going live. Dont worry, Ill announce when we are ready once everyone has checked in.

Ohh I saw test and thought it was a test file not the actual one were going with..

It is the test file. Ill change the link on Friday once all managers are loaded.

Ugghhhh run me in circles I tell ya... Lol

Should I download that file? or just wait for the real one to drop on Friday?

Ok cool. Yeah, I'm in another league where we are using OOTP and I'm "working out the kinks" with that one

I can't download win zip at work.

I downloaded another zip program though, but its saying this is not a zip file?

At home this is easy, I just right click and say "extract here" and then all the files come out.

Any tips?

Its a tar.gz or something file. 7zip is free and unzips them
