Do we have to put minor leaguers on the DL? I mean, what's the point of managing that when really it only effects yoru Major League team for placing guys on the DL and calling up other players.
I believe that if you have auto manage minor league lineups set, that the AI will do this for you. If it does not though, I recommend placing them on the DL. Sometimes, if you have a lot of guys on the DL on a team, the AI may try to use an injured player. Or you dont have enough players at all positions and the AI will overuse guys until they get hurt. Its much easier in my opinion to check the rosters if guys are on the DL.
How many players can be on each minor league team? Trying to figure out what to do with all the extra players now because of the draft.
You can have as many as you want. But you want to get your best prospects playing time. I recommend 25 on AAA and AA at the most. I keep 25 on each A roster too. The others... I dont worry with. I always release the guys who have no potential at all and are just taking playing time from the better players.
Is there anyway to turn off the "Diagnosis Pending" for injuries? I can see how it would be used in a single player game but when simming 10 days at once, it can hurt your team badly if you have a SP that ends up missing starts and your other SP have to pitch on short rest.
Cash can be included in a trade. Cash max is $10 million at end of season. Consider it a cushion if you go over budget. Anything over that you earn, the owner pockets. Its not figured into your budget at all.
Impossible to answer that one, too many variables. It does lower you fan interest. As for how much? No clue.
So for the trade deadline... do we have to have the trades completed before you sim tomorrow on 5/8/2012? or can the trades take place before the Thursday sim? I need to know if I need to work all my deals today/tonight is what I'm really looking at, lol.
Do the players actual and potential ratings change at a certain time of the year or are they always moving around throughout the year?
They do move around during the season somewhat. When the league flips to preseason, they rescout the players. I could actually rescout them all at various times in the season if guys asked for it. But yes, they change frequently until their potentials and actuals equal. Then... not so much unless age or injury plays a factor.
Can I get a little background info on the 40-man/active roster workings in this game. 3B prospect Zach Cox was already on the active roster when I got the team. Of course I had no room for him yet as he needed to develop so I lose him on waivers. I don't get why I couldn't just keep him on the 40-man roster without needing him to clear waivers which was not a possibility with high potential rating.
Unfortunately it looks like you didn''t need to waive him since he had 2 option years left. Should of been able to just drag him off the active roster to one of your minor league clubs.
Right..well I tried that and couldn't get it to work. The advice I got was to waive & demote. At least I'm learning..
To take a player off the 25 man roster: Right click- Demote. If it tells you the player must clear waivers, then right click, waive and DFA To take a player off 40 man roster: Right click- Waive and DFA. Any player who you want to take off the 40 man roster MUST clear waivers. Even if they have option years remaining.
No I tried dragging to the AAA and AA clubs but got the error unable to do so he's on the 40-man roster. I guess I'll chalk it up to inexperience. Thanks for the future suggestions guys
I'm guessing he had a major league contract, and either had to be on the 40 man roster, or clear waivers like da commish said. However, I think if someone claims them, you have the right to pull your player back off waivers. I don't know, it's a little confusing to me as well. Just a note... I put a claim in for him as well when I saw him... i was like.. THANK YOU.. I NEED A THREE BAGGER... lol... but sadly, Arizona got him. Sorry that happened to you.
