After talking to some users I am going to put up to the vote to expand our league to 32 users. There is an issue where users can restart cpu games until they win, and the game doesnt signal a restart. User games are just a lot more fun to play in this madden as well imo. (well in most maddens as well haha)

    Pros
    • No cpu restart issue
    • No worrying about cpu taking free agents and doing other weird moves
    • more robust league with more owners for content and competition
    Cons
    • Tougher to schedule games as quickly, may slow down pace some
    • more users to manage

Keep in mind, as it stands now, you should expect 10 to 12 user games a season, if we go to 32 that will go up to 16.

As you can tell, at this point, I think it will enrich our experience as a league to have a full 32 manned CCM.

I think as deep as CCM is this year 32 would be an incredible experience

I also wouldnt have posted this question if the league wasnt going so well as it is. We are getting a lot of participation and communication. Because of this, I think we can handle the expansion and will be better off in the end for it as well.

Would we be starting over? I'm for whatever keeps up the pace, as long as adding more doesn't significantly alter advance times.

You know how i feel about this. I always welcome more competition, and sometimes the CPU makes bonehead moves. In my CCM, Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, Melvin Ingram, and a lot of rookies are FA.

No we would keep on trucking. 1 or 2 games and a preseason doesnt mean much in the long run

I agree with the not starting over thing. Although i always embrace a rematch with RyanC ;) In all seriousness i think 32 teams will make the GM experience more realistic, with transactions and player progression too. It may or may not slow down the advance pace. Many people are still eager for M13 so we may not lose time.

I voted to keep it at 24 for season 1. Then if all goes well you can open it up and bring in another 8 for season #2. Remember that you can't always advance in 3-4 days as people have real life situations come up.

    WORK, WORK TRAVEL, KIDS, WIFE/GF.

    Just my 2 cents :D

The plan is to do 48 hour advances like week 1 during the week, and make it 72 hours over the weekend as that's when people tend to do their social life types of things.

Hey we all have lives, if we have to miss, then we communicate it and set to auto. Stuff happens and as long as it doesnt become too much of a habit and the user doesnt leave the other hanging, then we move along.

Tmfl did move along nicely with 32 teams last year. I was also wondering about computer teams progression. How do the players on those teams progress since there are no users for those teams?

    Bucs

If we increased the owners you wouldnt be able to continue playing? The extra 4 or 5 user games would be too much for you?

I'm with the collective, though I like my chances vs a user more so than a CPU patch job opportunist (still bitter from yesterday.) Its kinda shitty there is a hidden restart issue given the complete statistical depth of CCM. I guess theres always one guy that wants to prove to himself that he's the best even with tainted stats.

I am ok with either direction. It would make the league more realistic to have 32 users, though. It is more work for the league admins. Are you guys up for that?

I say 32. It's always more fun to play a user, and with the way guys are dropping out of NCAA leagues due to random cat violence ( ;) RyanC ) it shouldn't be hard to find and keep 32 guys.

Hes just poking fun because Ryan had to retire from NCAA because his cat destroyed his disc.

I am down with either direction. 32 teams would be great but at the same time, scheduling could impact some people more than others.
But I do have a question, what is the advance going to be like? I am in one league and we advance every Thursday night and Sunday night.
