A lot of you have been linking your twitch channels in the chatbox and in other areas of the site to show off your own individual gameplay or to broadcast leagues games. I'm happy to announce that we now can integrate those streams into the site for you to be notified when users here are streaming. While everyone will be able to see the streams, featured channels are only available for premier members only. The integration only works for approved games and channels. In order to have your channel approved, please submit the following: - Twitch username (ie. Drifterbub) - linking to your channel here will auto embed into the forums. - Leagues you are currently a member of Hopefully this just adds another layer of engagement for us be it league games or just casual gaming. Also, make an effort to subscribe to everyone else's channels as well. Let's grow that TSO network! When featured channels start to stream, they will signal at the top menu bar. Clicking on 'Streams' at the top will take you to all the current live streams.
www.twitch.tv/xtdcxroggie Currently in NEBL, TMFL, and The Dugout (obviously not streaming The Dugout on Twitch).
Drifter- is it possible for members of a league to only subscribe to users in their own league? I would figure so, but couldn't determine an answer based off your post. I'm essentially just not sure if every premiere league members stream will appear there, or if you can pick and choose which ones show a notification. Would be handy if all TMFL guys would see (if they so chose) were members of their own league that are currently streaming. If I was a betting man, I would think you already have this integrated and thought of it; as I said though, dumb dumb me couldn't decipher it within your post.
I'm working on that. I think it will need to be a part of phase 2 as currently there would be no way to determine what league you were in. I'm hoping to change that eventually.
Right I figure it's not as simple as I thought. I would offer suggestions but I'm sure you're on it. Idk if there would be a way to tie it to user groups?
You are getting warm. Usergroups are complicated, though. It would require constant maintenance and separate permission levels for each league. Would get ugly real fast.
I would imagine having someone dedicated to keeping that from turning messy isn't as easy as it sounds either. By that I mean the same way certain members help with new member apps etc.
This is good shit. I'll run some tests to see if Twitch makes FIFA laggy as hell for me still this weekend and might stream some manual seasons matches.
knightnoles Hard Knocks, TCBL (Triple Crown Baseball League), NEBL (No Excuse Baseball League), and occasionally stream some FIFA H2H matches
www.twitch.tv/timpegoose12 Only in the Dugout, but I'll probably stream some FIFA every once in a while. Especially if Rich can get this World Cup tourney off the ground.
