I'd rather have a major bowl game than a heisman trophy. I don't try to pad the stats.. Not accusing anybody of it. Just saying, i go to Dez when i need him. I use him like they would in real life. I found that if you just try to go for a certain receiver because you like him it will bite you in the ass.

Very true my friend, very true. I hope everyone in this OD has that mentality. Team over individual success.

Definitely thats why I don't have anyone in the race as of now (not saying thats bad), Colt could have thrown alteast 8 TDs in our first game but I ran the ball, then pulled him in the 2nd half.

Yep. Winning without a Heisman contender is much more fulfilling, at least for me. My RB might have been on this list if not for my backup Castille punching it in at the goal line so many times after Helu carried the team down the field. It's fun to see the two guys accumulate nearly 1500 yards already! But if someone is having a great individual season, I see nothing wrong with winning awards - you have to let those guys leave for the draft in most cases anyway, so it's a risk-reward system.

Julio is still up there, isn't he? Guy's a beast, and he's only a sophomore! Two Heismans in store for him?

Yeah..he is still up there. He didn't have the best game against Tennessee though. I think he might fall a bit.

Like you said, he is only a sophomore. He will have one more season to make a run at it!

Looks like it will come down to one of the two most talented WR's in the nation!

RE: Big 12 offensive dominance, the QBs are great but a lot of the teams esp in the north have really bad defenses. But hey, let's revisit this topic during bowl season and see how many points the eSSeeeeCeee puts up on our teams :p
